hi, i too just bought an RDX500MP and am going to play it for the first time tomorrow. it came strung with Prince Synthetic Gut w Duraflex 16G @ 60lbs.

is this a good string & tension? from what i've read on here it sounds like it may be a bit too high. just want to know if any of the racquet's potential is going to be hidden behind a boardy feeling stringjob.

    thanks,

Hello, I'm playing with RDX for 3 weeks, and it's pefect!

The first time I string with Prince gut @ 62lbs(broke in 5 games!LOL) and the second time i use a connex poly on mains and a Wilson gut on crosses @ 65lbs.

With 62lbs I feel the racquet better. I think 62 is the right tension.

Today I'll string again for a Club Tour and I'll use Hurricane 17 on mains and Superfine Play 17 on crosses @ 62!

Well if you have the HD version you better go low on the tension definitely between 51-55 lbs. Anything over that it starts feeling like hitting with a board.
