Thought about the TW testing of 16x10 string pattern for spin and the guys who tried stringing it up and found they couldn't control the ball. What would happen if you put string savers in? Would you still get lots of spin and would the strings stay in a reasonable position to have some control?

    Anyone want to try it?

No. It is strung to skip every other hole.

Unless you use a kevlar string, you're going to break them anyway. It's fun to hit with for a brief period though. I've strung up a 5g that way once. Even with poly strings in the crosses, they broke warming up after about 20 hits.

I experimented with the 16 X 10 and I can safely say that the string savers will never stay in place and will be gone after a few shots.

Funny story, I have NEVER had a sampras vibration dampener fly out while hitting but it did after 10 strokes with the 16 x 10. You cannot believe the amount of string movement. Stay away from it unless you want a silly experiment.
