I have been playing with the K-Factor 90 for around 3 years and thinking of getting 1 or 2 more sticks.

The question I would like answered from those who have had experience with these 3 rackets: Which of the 2 BLX 90's are closest to the feel of the original K-Factor 6.1 Tour 90?

I have heard that the BLX-90 (Black & gold paint job) has much less 'feel' than the K-Factor 90 (more muted / disconnected feel - which I definitely don't want), I have also heard that the Pro-Staff 90 BLX has more feel than the BLX 90 and is slightly more maneuverable and a bit easier to serve with than the K-Factor 90.

Would this be an accurate description of these two BLX's in comparison to the original K-Factor Tour 90? Can anyone add their opinions and / or recommendations based on their playing experience with these rackets?

    In my opinion
    K-Factor>N-Code>BLX>Prostaff BLX

I noticed that the BLX sticks are more muted? It doesn't have the crispness of the K-Factor version.

I would just stick with the K-Factor - if you don't want a muted feel unfourtunatly with the new ones that is what you will get. You can still find the K-Factors used for decent prices so I'd stock up!

I actually found the nex BLX Pro Staff and the K-Factor a bit similar (I didn't played that much with the K-Factor though), but decided to keep playing with the BLX (black/red) because of the softer feel, I love the muted feel and the huge plow through.

It will be hard to found new K-Factor or one in good conditions, so maybe a demo of the BLX would be a good choice.

The BLX90 is not as crisp as the K90. The K90 has a more crisp, raw feel that some people may prefer over the BLX90.

IMO I don't think the BLX has much less feel than the K-Factor, for me it is a different kind of feel.

I haven't tried the PSBLX90 so I can't tell you if there is any difference.

Pro Staff 90 is better then BLX feel wise, but be ready to add lead if you want the swingweight of K-factor. On the plus side you get more customization options with lower swing weight.

Jolly-the-basher also reports that Pro Staff version is just not as solid as the K-Factors and breaks more easily with extreme weight customization. I think he uses near 14oz spec.

nCode and KFactor - then the rest of the new lines...

nCode and KFactor, are the last good ones in the ProStaff 90 family, the new ones are like crap comparing to this 2.

The new ones: No feel, very unstable, very very very bad painting ... cuting production cost products !

Very very bad rackets compared to nCode and KFactor !

Thanks to all for their opinions and recommendations. I think I will just keep my K-Factors for now and maybe upgrade when the next line comes in for 2014 and the Pro-Staff 90's are on sale.

My BLX90 has has noticebly less swingweight than my K. Easier to swing, but it comes with a price in plowthrough.

the k is like swinging a brick, ps blx 90 feels nicer to swing, and is softer.

    for me anyway. try it

On average, the nCodes I have, got the SW= 335; the KFactors have SW=342.

I have used BLX and the last PS90, one got SW:329 and the other SW:333 so very close to the nCode, but both are very unstable, and give a lot of bad vibrations compared to the nCode or the KFactor.

Not to mention the Paint on the last models... it peels just like crazy, anything can scratch the paint of the last models!
