I wanted to paint one of my 88s a while back. in fact i created a thread about it. i sidelined that project for a long while. i got as far as stripping the paint off the stick. this morning i was priming an old, ceramic dunlop and contemplated weather or not i should keep the primer visible. thankfully i remembered i had a stripped 88 laying around. so after painting the dunlop, i quickly undid the grommets, cleaned and prepped the 88, masked off the racquet and went at it. my painted k90 from a couple years back didn't quite hit like a k90, so i strung the 88 up and hit for 30 minutes this afternoon to see if the primer changed it's hitting properties. it feels exactly the same to me but with a slightly more head light balance than stock. i'll have to weigh it and see how much clear coat i should apply. but here it is: i'll probably end up cutting the strings and working on it some more.
