Anyone remember Karin Alami of Morocco? If you have any photos of him, please post them here. I am having trouble finding any pics.

I spent some time at Tennis Academy with him in Florida back in 91 I think it was. He had just come off the boy's 18s circuit as the top player and was down there working on switching to a one-hander. Don't have any pics, sorry.

thats an ignorant and stupid thing to say, as he beat pete in his prime:

He reached his highest singles ATP-ranking on February 21, 2000, when he became the number 25 of the world. Very impressively, he defeated Pete Sampras in the first round of the 1994 ATP Doha tournament, a year in which Sampras dominated the tour.

    BTW: It's Younes.

I saw him beat Younes at USO 2000. I also saw him lose to Arazi at USO 2001.

I think those were the only two matches I saw him play and both were against his countrymen. I sort of recall the match against Younes took place after a rain delay. I had never seen him play and was surprised he could beat Younes.

Arazi was among my favorite players to watch. He doesn't get mentioned on the board much when the talent discussion comes up but Arazi had it in spades.

There was a period when Morocco produced several exciting talents (El Aynaoui, Arazi, Alami). I wonder what happened?
