he didn't hit a single ace in his match against monfils...sooooooooooooooo crazy weird
Yeah but what about service winners?
Monfils got pretty big wings.
w/o and ace?
I didn't watch the match at all so I can't really comment. Maybe it was because of the surface? (clay)
Side-topic: Monfils serves exactly like Roddick!
ya. as ugly as roddick.
and both are jerky ducks on the court.
he actually said before how when he was younger he would emulate roddicks serving motion
LOL, yeah, i was about to start the same thread. Monfils is crazy acrobatic though and is tall so he must have just tipped a bunch of them.
"Monfils defeated No. 15 seed Ivo Karlovic of Croatia 7-6(8), 6-1 in 88 minutes. Karlovic won just 38 of 73 points on serve and for the first time at an ATP tournament he did not serve a single ace"
Monte Carlo are the slowest courts. Hamburg is also slow but not this slow.
karlovic had a bunch of aces against grosjean though.
 Your nice aren't ya?
the clay is slow.
Also credit has to be given to Monfils and his reach. Roger Federer said it himself that even though he plays so far from the baseline, he reads the shots really well.
Federer also had 0 aces against Monfils, see the similarity?
