No, I think it is a regular 98" KBlade. The team has a particularly shaped head with its 104 sq inches...doesn't look like the team to me.

She had the kTour last year.

That was my guess. KBT with full gut.

Wasn't she playing the KPS at one point?

KTour previously. (I use it, which is why I took notice)

And, having played with both the 98 kBlade and the Team, again, I really don't think it is the team. Hmmm, lemme see if anything is listed on the WTA site.

    No way it is either...
Looks like the head is fairly small, so I assume it is the KBT

I'm saying that last year she used the kTour (which is 95, the white and orange racquet).

By KBT do you mean team or tour?

Lol, I'm getting all confused with the 'T'!

Anyway, the WTA site didn't list anything for her for apparel or racquets.

Gotchya! Lol, I *knew* it wasn't the team.

You really think she uses the tour instead of the 98? Heavy racquet for a little gal (though, she is quite strong, too)!

I was very curious to see what she switched to myself, since she *used* to use my racquet.

looks like very tight pattern, very similar to the KBT. THe KB98 (although also 18x20) has noticeable more spacing between the mains...

But that is just my guess...

It's one of those specially made kblade h22 frames....They have them with several different lay-ups and string patterns.... 99% of all blades you see on tour are indeed these frames...

So all the blades we see are not the stock ones. And they are customized in their own way?

What is the spec on Oudins blade if anyone knows?

She uses a retail kblade tour strung with kgut pro. A stringer from wimbledon commented on it during wimbledon on here in a thread.

I doubt as her stick head looks smaller, 18x20, etc...
I would not be surprised if it is the KBT as is...

Why? Plenty of women hit with 95s, you think 2 sq. inches is going to make that much of a difference?

Sabatini used a 14+ oz stick when she was on tour, so what's the big deal? if i can play with a mid effectively, she should be able to.

Oh, I've used KGut 17...sweet, sweet string!

Because I'm a kTour geek, I had this picture of her from earlier just this year, with the kTour. The switch to a heavier racquet has probably helped amp up the pace on her groundies (at least, that is my thinking)...

This is from earlier this season:

Chris Evert and Mary Pierce used the Wilson 6.0 85 for their life long racket! That the one that Pete Samprass used too!

Well, ALL women used to play with 65 sq. in., 13-14 oz. wood racquets.

Actually, Chris Evert used a 65 sq. in. wood racquet (Wilson Chris Evert Autograph) for most of her career.

Steffi Graf used a 82 sq. in. Dunlop Max200G for most of her career.

    From the above link:

"Oudin is currently sponsored by two companies. Wilson, who makes her K Blade Tour racket and Adidas, which impressively made Oudin one of two endorsers (along with Sam Querrey) to pitch their mi adidas customizable shoes before the US Open started.

Although Oudin's pink and yellow shoes she made, with the word "BELIEVE" on it, have gotten plenty of airtime, adidas spokesperson Lyn Famiglietti said there are currently no plans to do any type of limited release of the shoes. Famiglietti did say however that fans could customize their shoes to look exactly like Oudin's. Wilson has been mentioning Oudin on its blog, but the official Web site does not have the upstart player as one of 16 women players listed who use its rackets. "

Yeah Evert waited too long to switch but once she did you beat Martina a few more times and was far more competitive.

Chris Evert was very competitive against Navratilova while Evert was still with wood and Navratilova was with Graphite. Evert lost to Navratilova in three sets at the 1982 Wimbledon with wood 6-1, 3-6, 6-2. You do know that Chris Evert beat Navratilova ( Martina used the Yonex R-7 graphite racquet) with the Chris Evert Pro Staff (wood racquet) at the 1982 Australian Open 6-3, 2-6, 6-3

Evert was only able to beat Navratilova twice in grand slam finals with the Wilson Pro Staff 85 (Graphite/Kevlar). That being the 1985 and 86 French Open.

In the 1984 French Open Evert lost to Navratilova 6-3, 6-1. Evert was using the Wilson Pro Staff 85 (Graphite/Kevlar) in that match.

Are you suggesting Chris would have had any chance in those finals with a wood frame? She had to switch her frame as well as up her strength and fitness levels. Which she did as well.
