Maybe one Quaterfinal in a slam. And make one tourney final. Who knows but Kei Nishikori has the weapons but is a little fragile like Ferrero.

Nishikori is so much bigger than he was last year its redonkulous! There are a few online showing his workout session, he was bicep curling a bench press bar with 25 lbs on each side. I expect him to struggle at first but once he gains some match toughness he'll be ok. I would love to see some damage done at the Slams and masters but thats asking too much, hopefully he does successful on the lower level tourneys

I think Nishikori will be a beast around midseason but he's gotta stay healthy first. He will never have the firepower like Delpo but he has a lot of speed and shotmaking to beat quality opponents.

Kei Nishikori is a Japanese born player who trains at Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy. As of age 19, he defeated some notable players like Querrey, Blake and Ferrer.

I'm not expecting much and I don't think he is either coming off an injury. He's something like 20 years old. There's at least 2 more years for him to peak. Nadal said Nishikori can hit top 10 but I think that's a big if. He's the got the skills and the wheels but needs more match experience against top 10 players. I say 2011 will be the big one for Kei.

Peak?! I think you mean, reach his prime. Tennis players are usually in there primes from 22-26

    with his protected ranking
he should be able to play acouple 250's and 500's
    to regain his ranking
most likely seeing him around 40's or 50's at the end of the year
if lucky he might win another title

I think Fedace might be partially right, Nishikori could win the US open ONE DAY not this year though. Nishikori is on of those people that tends to mature a lil slower than most. In a few years he can potentially be a contender for slams, the name of the game for victory is FITNESS. Even as a junior (my friend went to Bollettieri and trained with Kei told me) that he was always plauged by injury, unless he matures phyically it will be very tough.

Yes, prime. I stand corrected! Peak is probably not the right choice of words as it assumes a particular moment rather than a period of time.

that's very worrying news for Kei.If he finish inside the top 50 next year while coming from an injury it will be success imo.
