Kevlar and stability

Whenever I play a racquet that has the classic prostaff composition of 20 % kevlar and 80 % graphite it seems to have the stability I like, no matter the flex of the racquet.
Racquets played/tested include PS 6.0/6.1, ps tour 90, Babolat PDR, PK type R, PK type S and PK core1 #6.
Anyone else feel the same way? Is the superb stability due to the kevlar in the frame? It seems to me it has to be.

I think in the case of the Wilson ProStaffs, in addition to the Kevlar, the PWS also helps with stability.

Perhaps but I find the exact same stability in the lighter no pws Type S and Type R.
Maybe it is just that I played the prostaffs for so long I feel at home with that feel.

I've also tried the Type S, but I found it to be no where as stable as the Pro Staffs.

Of course it is lighter and cannot offer the same stability, but the type of stability it offers is IMO the same. All the above mentioned racquets really shine when hitting slices for instance and slices are the groundstrokes where stability is most important.

I feel the same way....there is just something special about the 80/20 graphite kevlar mix that makes it feel more stable. Ive tryed every racket under the sun and always keep coming back to the wilson prostaff's. I agree that it is there in other rackets too even if they are light.

Other than stability, is there a Kelvar feel, which ... maybe a little stiff ??

ah, is there Kelvar in K90 ?

I dont know if I would call it stiff, because the Type R for instance is quite flexy. I would say that the common feel in all racquets with that composition is crisp.

I seem to recall that the first 6.1 after the classic didnt have any kevlar in it and didnt really feel good or sell well. It was black with some red and was called hypercarbon prostaff or so.

TW updated their site for k90. Before composition was:

"nCoded High Modulus Graphite / Carbon Black"

No percentages of its material makeup.
That was before Wilson revealed to the world what the heck "[K]arbon Black", now "[K]arophite Black", was. ;)

There's no way Wilson could take Kevlar out and still consider it a racquet based on the PS 6.0.

The racquet I was thinking about was the hyper prostaff 5.0 which was the first hyper prostaff to come out and it had no kevlar in it. It wasnt as good IMO and I believe it didnt sell that well either. The Hyper PS 6.1 is good though and has kevlar like all the other 6.0 or 6.1.
