for awhile now i always wanted to test out kevlar/natural gut.
but ive been thinking that since nat gut is so expensive id go down to a multi.

just a few min ago i got done stringing my k90 with kevlar/kgut
at 70 (so it says on my drop weight)

im just wonder to hear peoples responses on their own set up that had involved kevlar.

Are you trying to get yourself a seriously bad case of T.E?

Kevlar at 70!?? You might as well get your arm and bash it against a metal pole for a couple of hours.

lol i feel for the high tension.
i would usually string my k90 with any poly at around 68-70
poly like phts or alu roughs.
it doesnt really bug me until the tension drops xD

I used kevlar with Hyperion in the crosses. It had awesome control and made a huge noise when I hit the ball, but I got a little bit of golfer's elbow. Now I use Ashaway Crossfire II. It has less control and a little more power, but it's definately softer on my arm. What's odd is that my Kevlar mains break faster with synthetic gut in the crosses than with poly in the crosses.

Strung up an NPro OpenX (100" 16x19) with Forten Aramid 18g M/Pacific Tough Gut 16 X at 42/45#. The result was a tight, but a VERY lively stringbed. It actually felt too stiff at the beginning until after 4 hrs. of playtime.

Thereafter the stringbed started to feel REALLY good w/ great spin, pocketing. After about 10hrs. I started to spray a bit more balls and had to adjust my swing. The gut had nice fraying around 15 hrs., and I cut it out just after that.

    I've been playing Kevlar/ALU rough at 70lb in a 14.3 oz 405 sw custom K90.

And not a peep out of my arm.
