From today's issue of the weekly ATP media newsletter, "ATP Tennis Weekly"

Nicolas Kiefer had surgery on his left wrist
Monday in Ravensburg. The German had
been injured since he fell on his wrist during
his French Open match against Marc
Gicquel. Kiefer said: “I'm hoping to be back
for the US Open. I want to be able to play a
    100 percent there."

He's just about the most unsavoury character on a tennis court.

I hope he retires for good. I remember his cheating during the AO with Grosjean. Difficult to believe how low a person can go. And he also abused Federer, if I remember right.

come on, he is not just this bad. (I know I am biased)
but he´s just on fire on court and really resolved to win at any cost =)
And also a great player we would miss if he retires!

Kiefer. One and only guy the tour is better off without. He is such a SOB.

i can't believe how much ppl hate keifer for his personality....i think monfils, for example, is much more of an annoying player...i dunno...i think keifer has one of the best techniques on tour but he is a bit tempered, thats all... he also seems funny in some of his interviews!! cheers

    DAMN, i knew the guy wasn't popular but . . .

you never want to wish ill on another person, though. does bad things for your karma. it's not like the guy is a convicted criminal or anything. or he did something to any of us personally.

Exactly. It's ok if you don't like a player, but don't wish ill for him...

BTW,is it true for Ancic too? That he was injured?I searched here but couldn't find anything about it..
