There have been a few kinesio tape brands popping up recently, and I want to see if anyone has tried them.

I've personally been using kinesio tex gold, and i find that its great, but could use a little bit stronger adhesive.

I see that sports authority has KT tape, and how does that compare? they are apparently precut.

edit: I found 2 more brands, rocktape, and spidertech

I too have a good deal of experience with Kensiotape and would say the Rock tape is the best out there. Very adhesive.

kchau- Everyone claims to have the best kinesiology tape and strongest adhesive as you'd expect, however 98% of the time sticking issue's come down to a single issue- application error.

KT Tape is a proven clinical product that was only recently made available outside the clinic. Most people outside of the clinic haven't done a lot of taping so it's natural to have a bit of a learning curve. Our team and clinicians work tirelessly, nearly 24/7, online and at sporting events each week to educate people on about this new solution and how to apply properly. Most people get it down in just a couple tries and never have a problem. Whichever brand of tape you decide to try it's important to understand the importance of proper application otherwise you'll be frustrated. We personally tape thousands of athlete's every week and we re-tape just as many people wearing other brands as we do people wearing KT Tape. We don't really care which brand they are wearing so we'll take time to work with people and educate no matter which brand they are using. We offer the largest library of resources available today on our website including video instructions, step by step documentation, and tips/tricks- http://www.kttape.com/instructions/.

Finally, to address the adhesive issue directly. KT Tape's adhesive is 25% stronger than other brands. Our claims are regularly tested and verified by 3'd party lab testing which helps us insure we maintain the highest quality standards.

I'd be glad to send you, and everyone else on this thread, a free sample so you can try before making a decision. If you decide to go with another brand I would still invite you to check out our video instructions, or our Ask an expert service where our clinicians respond one on one to individual injuries/conditions- http://www.kttape.com/ask-an-expert/.

If you'd like to take me up on this just fire me an email at marketing@kttape.com with your mailing address and we'll get the samples out today.

    Thanks!

Hi Jim, Thanks for the sample offers.

I don't believe my issue is application, its when the tape chafes against my clothing or the sheets when i sleep at night, it causes the ends to roll up. I believe that a better adhesive would solve this, and that's why im looking for which has the stronger adhesive.

I think he is just trying to sell his own tape no offense. I have used all of them and KT was the worst came off all the time. I have Rock tape on me now and its been on for 6 days. I would say try KT but you will end up returning it.

+1 for Rock Tape. Never really tried KT though. Maybe I'll have to take them up on the offer.

I've only tried KT Tape. The first time I tried it for my wrist, it was a minor disaster and started coming off after about 45 minutes. I pretty much wrote it off but figured I had 10 more strips so might as well get some use out of them. The second time I tried I did a very thorough job of cleaning my wrist/forearm with an alcohol pad and applied the tape. This time there was no problem whatsoever for 2 hours of tennis, went to bed, then took a shower the next morning and it still didn't come off till I took it off a few hours after the shower. My only complaint now is obtaining the 5" strips in quantities less than 300 doesn't seem possible.

I'm going to look up this rock tape now and see if they have different sizing more easily available.
