Has anyone hit with the Kirschbaum Black Shark? Is it identical to
the original yellow string? I love the original and also the Red pro line II.
    What about
    the super smash orange?
    any reviews/comments?
    thanks!

I have yet to hit with the black shark but I heard it is a tad stiffer.

I've hit with the super smash as well and that didn't have as much bit but had nice control. Was also a bit stiffer than the yellow shark.

I wonder how the black shark would feel as the x4 pack is appealing. I would use in a hybrid.

The black is a tad stiffer and maybe has a little less pop, but they are similar. Im pretty sure they tried to make an identical string though. If you like the original you should like the Black Shark.

I just tried the Black Shark in a couple of different sticks, an Extreme MP 2.0, a Prestige MP and a graphene Speed Pro. (and yeah, I bought the four pack).

I'm hooked. It works for me as advertised. I'm a big guy with a ton of power so I had to adjust tension a couple of times to find what I liked and where I wasn't banging it into the fence, but it's got good bite for me, especially on deep groundies where I can really wind into it.

I don't know if it's coincidental or not, but the minute I put something else in the Prestige (my main sticks) I ended up with forearm/elbow pain.

Good value and durable. I got some decent hours out of each set, and when it goes, you'll know fast because you'll be long on EVERYTHING.

Hey Doc, what tension did you string black shark at? Just need some ideas of what I should string my set at.

I ended up after trial and error at 57 in the Prestige and 55 in the other sticks. I tried some real extremes (as high as 65, low as 48) outside the recommended ranges.

I bought the Spiky black shark 17 (4 pack deal) and started using on my IG Radical pro (out of box - no custom).

First i used 54(M) & 56(C) , next went down to 50(M) & 52(C) and now ended with 44 (M) and 48 (C) started loving the spin and power with my semi-westren game. Control wise i feel Ok and i can manage.
