I saw her at the Acura Classic on tuesday. I could help notice the spring like sound after Brandi hits the ball (almost like it was loading or retracting). Her racket looks like a Yonex V-Con. Does anyone have any info?

Well, didn't say her's had no extra weight on it. Yes there are plenty of women and a few guys who do play lightweight frames. On the men's side, most famous is of course Moya. The Williams girls use fairly light frames as well. Countless women are using H-Tours/Hyper Hammer 5.2s and Surges...

Tom, do you know exactly the weight of the Williams sisters' racquets? I've heard that they weigh in the 11oz range, I've also heard that they play with stock weights with Serena's Hammer 6.4 Powerholes and Venus' Hammer 6.2 Stretch....which weigh roughly 9.8 ounces strung (maybe just over 10oz because they use 4 and 5/8s grip). I've asked Venus herself and she says that she changes the weights to what she likes from time to time....so...
