ok, the KUZ is not hot like MaSha... in fact when i saw her thighs on TV i thought it was the ESPN strongman competition...
    BUT
she sure has a GREAT game!

solid groundies, powerful overheads, good serve, good movement

she is exactly what the WTA needs... not the dementieva double faults!

Masha played unbelievable tennis today. Maybe her best non-grass match ever.. certainly one of the best. She could have beaten anybody today the way she served and hit groundies.
    Kuzzy couldn't do much

Actually, Kuzzy and Masha are best of the Russians, though rating at the moment doesn't reflect this.
and they will probably stay on the top for a while.

I am still surprised how the other three even made the top eight.
    Dementieva - pathetic serve
    Myskina - choker
    Zvonareva - cry baby
Neither of the three have slightest chance to be No 1,
though Myskina was mumbling something about it.

Is it me, or is the current crop of Russian women players absolutely boring and faceless (except, I suppose, for Sharapova)?

    Zvonareva: Who cares.
    Myskina - Who cares.
    Dementieva - Who cares.
    Kuznet-something - Who Cares
"Masha" - Myskina has OWNED her this year-will she ever win another GS? Who cares.

    Dementieva - great mover
Myskina - great mover and thinker
Zvonareva - great forehand, but yes, crybaby, but she will improve, very ambitious

I personally care about Kuznet-something. She is a more exiting player than many men on the tour. Myskina is NOT a choker, quite the opposite - all Russian girls who've been playing Myskina since they were 12 admit that she would pull it out where others give in. I choker with her game would be out of top 30 for sure. When Dementieva sorts out her serve (and what's more important - matures enough to send her mum back home) she will beat
99 per cent of players on tour. Actually I think that Russian girls were the ones who sexed this boring tour up in the absence of two Belgians. And what's really scary - there're at least four new Russian youngsters up and coming into top 10 who would beat the s..t out of this crop in three years..
    So I'm afraid it's you Phil :)

    Yes, agree, it's him.
They are definitely not boring, and even more definitely, not faceless.
What I meant is that I don't belive that Myskina, Dementieva and Zvonareva have the stuff to be No.1.

Kuzzy and Masha do have the stuff.

I wonder, why Demetieva cannot fix her serve.
    Is something mental, psychological stuff?
She's got serve worse than number 1000.

She's a player of such quality, so she's got talant,
so what is special about serve?

It's not like some player has weaker bachhand, say or forehand.
Her serve is really realy PATHETIC, club's level serve.
