traded minibreaks. delpo backhand horrible
delpo manages the backhands, forehand looking good
Kills me. Seems like so many of his matches are like this now.
First set - practically breadsticks the guy in 10 minutes.
Second (and or third) set - INTERMINABLE TORTURE, lol.
Anyone remember 1R AO? I practically held my breath the whole time.
lol delpotro not a poser
Dont be a poser Delpo.
He has a good lead right now though.
Crikey, give him time... He's hardly played in the last year!
How long at 484? Still need some touching up overall.
five match points!
I can breathe again now.
I'm sitting here supporting him, aren't I?
(If you look at my comment history, you'll know I'm not exactly the one here most impatient with his progress. I've been following his healing and progress in interviews. I was just describing how I felt. Don't jump on me, please. )
the world no. 484 pulls out the win!!!
LOL. You're kind of awesome.
Lleyton gritted out that victory. I hope he's worn out, lol. Otherwise we could be in for a tough three-setter.
i'm with you on that one. remember it well ...
did you hear the post match interview? he acknowledged, according to my paraphrase, that it's a struggle every day, trying to come back to the Tour after a year off ....... said he's happy he's improving "day by day" ... and about meeting hewitt next, he said he'll do his best to beat him
i know, kinda expected, but tho hewitt had a tuff time of it today, I'm guessing he'll be pumped that he won, plus he'll be looking for revenge for losing to delpo the last time they met when delpo won the tournament in Washington 2009, trying to forget that and remember instead earlier that year when hewitt beat delpo on the grass of wimby
it'll be another challenging match for Del, but I think he can win on the indoor hard (hope hope hope)
great minds think alike! (see previous post ... we musta been typing simultaneously )
Delpo is definitely Not hitting the ball as hard as he normally does...
Wow, upset of the tournament!
How many ranking spots for Del Po after this tourny?
If he wins this tournament I think he'll rise to around #170.
