I know it's the French Open, but Lacoste tennis apparel is making a very strong showing. I really like what they've done with their line, but do they need to find a new "front man?" Roddick never seemed a natural fit with Lacoste and I can't help but feel that if they had a suave, "up and coming" star that their stuff would be all the rage among tennis fans, no?

Is Raonic the new Lacoste front-runner?

    Isner is also a candidate.

Gasquet is the best front-liner for the brand, I think. His style of playing, the fact that he has a OHBH...

Julien Benneteau is the most dapper frontman for Lacoste, IMO. His shirts always drape perfectly on his body and the shorts are a great length on his legs. He has an urbane insouciance about him that's great for the brand.

Yes, their ill-fitting, single colored polo shirts are surely impressive...

(I don't dislike their stuff, but it's far from special...)

I can't think of any past or present American player that personifies Lacoste's genteel-Euro roots. Derrick Rostagno maybe?
Roddick and Isner would've been perfect for whatever American brands that have college frat boys as their target market.

Maybe the photo doesn't quite do Raonic justice but if he gets hot & rolls Nadal then he will definitely be their front runner- he is extremely dangerous but I wouldnt call him suave.
    More like a Raging Bull!
    Class player though...

^^ Oh yeah I forgot, all that IZOD stuff. That, and the oversized Ralph Lauren polo horseman.

The brand cries out for someone with perfect hair, like John Edwards.

i never like what roddick wears, but then i don't like athletic shirts with pockets in the front.

having said that, i kinda like lacoste in general. their stuff is a bit conservative, but it still has style. it's subtle.

^^^^ that santoro shirt was one of my all-time favorites.

I just saw a Lacoste commercial yesterday on Tennis Channel and the last screen shot said "proud sponsor of Milos Raonic", so perhaps they are transitioning him to be the front man.

    Lacoste

Best fit for the brand for me was always Arnaud Clement. Headband, shades, whole look was usually on.

Lacoste tennis shirts are $80. So with tax and shipping, its closer to $100.
    For one shirt.

One reason I'll never buy a Lacoste shirt, that's just way too much.

Addidas and Asics have the best looking shirts IMO.

You know, sizes vary from continent to continent, I've found, so I'm not exactly sure if size 5 is closer to "Gasquet" size or "Isner" size -- but maybe to call your local store, tell them you've searched the site, ask them to search their database inventory, see if you have any luck...?

I mean, I haven't given up getting my hands on Serena's midnight-blue-edged Wimbledon sweater from last year ... :p

The new lacoste line for the fall/autumn is horrendous.

Although, the summer one was absolutely fantastic. The color and the graphics were great. I still dreaming with that yellow shirt that Monsieur Roger-Vasselin used.

Stop hating, zap. Andy helped lacoste way more than they helped him.

I actually love the Andy logo.

Much cooler and more intimate than other player's personal logos.

I agree. His logo is way much better than ND's (which doesn't have any sense).

I don't know, but considering Isner is meant to help with the big and tall line they should be able to make shirts that fit his lanky frame a little better. They are way too short.

Still looking for these dang tipped polos :/

Seriously I feel like I am on a wild goose chase with Lacoste apparel that is out of season.
