The Crocodile versus the Rocket. French Open finals. Chopin in the chair.
I'm very interested in how Laver might have fared against Lacoste. Does anyone know much about Lacoste's game?
Chopin, Lacoste was a baseliner but succeeded also on grass. He would have won many majors if he had not severe illness problems.
Laver was much stronger than Lacoste.
What ailed him?
I believe he suffered from asthma. He retired at 25.
Thanks for the information. I haven't heard much about him on the Boards. Is he underrated?
Chopin, as many old players he is underrated. I forgot to mention that Lacoste had possibly TB.
TB, oui, mais il avait des raquettes d'acier!
