If I wanted to add about 1/2 an ounce of weight to my BPC MP, making the balance about 2 pts. more head light while adding some stability, how much and where should I add it?

This won't help you with head light, but I added six grams to mine (three at 9 o'clock and three at 3 o'clock), and it made a huge improvement in stability. To me, it felt like a different racquet.

Try adding about 3 inches of tape at both 3 and 9 (three grams total) and then add 11 grams to the handle under the grip. That should give you about the results you said, and improve the stability.
