lead tape size?

    I was thinking about purchasing a reel of lead tape but im not sure if i should buy the 1/2 inch width or the 1/4 inch wide lead tape? What do you people prefer?

    well at tw 1/2 is a better price per gram

    I think the only way to apply the 1/2 inch lead tape is to drill holes in it, and apply it before stringing the racquet (the grommets would poke through the drilled holes). But for the 1/4 inch tape, you can apply it on a strung racquet, and modify it without taking out the string. All this is assuming you're putting the tape inside the hoop.

    well, you can always cut the 1/2 in half and you'll have twice the 1/4 in for the same price as a package of 1/4 in

    That's what i did. I bought the babolat 1/2 inch stuff. Just cut it from dot to dot (you'll see it when you get them) and place them on the sides. It fits with plenty of room on the frame of my m-fil 300, so it'll fit on any OS too.

    Well if thats the case ill buy the 1/4 inch wide lead tape so i dont have to bother cutting it in half. I just plan on putting strips on both sides without removing the strings or punching grommets.

    If you buy a cheap reel of 1"-wide on the big auction site, it will last you a long, long time.
