    Hi,

While hitting today, I tried putting my weight into the shot by leaning into the ball upon contact. I hit with more consistency, less shots were going out, etc. Is it ok to lean into the shot, sort of like this: / <--body. Or is it better to keep it like this | <--body.

    Thanks

Close your stance and step forward into your shot (left foot on the forehand side, right on the backhand side) and hit the shot in front and away from your body and you'll be good to go. It's not a matter of leaning.
