FIVE of the eight top American juniors selected to represent the USA in Europe are HIGH-TECH TENNIS customers! GOOD LUCK TO EVERY SINGLE PLAYER, but most especially these: GIRLS: CC Bellis-CA (since 2011 G12 Hard Courts), Jaeda Daniel-FL (since 2009 FL State Closed 10s), Michaela Gordon-CA (since 2012 G12 Hard Courts) BOYS: Patrick Kypson-NC (since 2009 Southern Closed 10s), Noah Makarome-FL (since 2010 Gator Bowl).
Not anything personally against you at all, but do you have permission from them to use their names? Did they sign something? Not sure appropriate. Knowing two of the players pretty well and how their parents are, just checking. Also know other video services they use, so it could get sticky.....When photographer/video folks use or used my players image or name with their product they always get permission. Marketing 101.
Could not agree more, JM is a beast, only thinking is he is 14.... Those are all 13 year olds
JM is a player, big off both sides. Wonder if he is an aging out 14 or a young 14.
Where is he from???
Permission is not required to use a player's name in a post. It happens here every day. TennisRecruiting.net has player profiles with names and pictures on public display. zootennis writes about it every day and snaps pictures of kids at tournaments without any release being signed. It comes with the territory.
But I think permission or good taste is required before advertising that a minor is a customer. The post has been made, each of us can form our own opinions about the vendor
I would love to be there, seems like a great tournament and experience, maybe a player of mine here soon! Haha
I hope somebody takes videos, I saw video on YouTube 2 years ago but not this past years event....
How is CC Bellis doing? Saw her play this summer, really nice girl. My 8 year old daughter fell in love with her, couldn't stop talking about her for a couple of weeks.
Too bad they aren't taking the best american boys (see John McNally etc). USTA PD does it again!!!
He is a '98. Too old to go.
wait he is a 98' but doesnt age out til october....so you cant age out the year of the tournament at all? or just have to be 14 and under during?
Thanks for chiming in NOLA. If he was in the age group, he would've been given the opportunity to earn a spot to go just as the others did.
How did they earn their spot?
really? did not know that? is that the case with the Eddie herr and orange bowl and Jr grandslams? I thought i read an article about a girl turning 19 after the start of aussie open but was allowed to play....
I do not know the precise details but I read on zootennis about a playoff that was held to determine the participants. It was successful last year as all 4 USA boys were the last 4 standing.
In years past, the playoff was by invitation, and held the week prior to Orange Bowl. There are two round robin flights. The two winners are selected as well as two coaches choice- usually announced during the following week or two.
Playoffs are by invitation and usually are only PD players who get the invite......
I thought the playoff was for two spots and other two spots are "captain's picks" ( per zoo tennis).
And I have no idea what "captains picks" means.
Good luck to the four boys........
On a totally different note, does anyone know where the list was published
for the wild cards for the Winter Nationals for Arizona?
The finals are all filmed and there was an official DVD of each last year - you could probably contact the organising committee and you might get lucky. www.lespetitas.com
It was a very good final last year (both boys finals were very high quality - wheelchair and u14's).
Cheers
Did you e-mail them in French?
Hey Ash thank you for the reply, I already tried to email them and no response :*( Found many videos on youtube of the 2011 tournament just not this past year...
You dont have access do you? haha
Looks like 3 of 4 American girls are through first round and 2 of 4 of the boys.
Winners 1st round:
Michaela Gordon 6-3 6-1
CC Bellis 6-1 6-0
Jaeda Daniel 6-3 6-3
Sam Riffice 3-6 6-2 6-2
Patrick Kipson 6-3 6-2
into backdraw:
Claire Liu 2-6 6-7(7)
Giani Ross 4-6 5-7
Noah MAKAROME 3-6 4-6
Without zoo tennis I could not have found these draws. Google translator only can do so much!

You have presented here results from
Aegon Junior International Teen Tennis
Bolton, Great Britain U14
while Le Petit As is sheduled from 21 of January.
BTW Tennis Europe updates every day results on junior events so it is easy to follow favorite young players.
Thanks for correction, meant to put tournament name in there. Do the same sets of kids play in both?

No love for the US boys still in it, Gianni is big time player ...
It looks like CC won?!?!
Shout out to her family and Nor Cal!
