I'd be willing to bet some $$$ that Roddick loses this one in five. If I'm AR, I am BEGGING Brad Gilbert to take me back. His game is moving in the worng direction. Let's hope that he will get some good advice and right the ship.

All of you who think that Andy should beg Brad to come back are forgetting the slump he was in the last five months under Brad.

He was beating everyone ranked below him with Brad and is now fair game to anyone ranked in the top 100. He could not play on grass before Brad either. I think with time Brad could have gotten him to the quarters at the French, but I guess we'll never know.

He lost to guys like Gonzalez, Mirnyi, Joachim Johansson in his some of his last events with Brad. His decline was inevitable. Very predictable, one-dimensional player. Coaching can't change that.

Sure he had the occasional loss, but not nearly as frequent as he is now. He seldom lost to the lower ranked guys, but it has now become common place.
I just feel that he was a legitamate threat to win slams other than the french with Gilbert, and now I don't see him anywhere in the equation.

    "Safin's press conference:
Q:Who would you want to be your partner if you were on Survivor?
    A:Macaulay Culkin.
    Q:Why?
A:He could get out of danger at such young age & he older now & must be much more clever to help me survive. Is good answer, no?"

Did Safin really say that? That's hilarious!
