sweet man sounds like you got a good deal. Are you still going to try to make your custom break?
LMFAO, so he does have spies! This is getting really ridiculous! At least you got your money back!
Your story has been repeated here numerous times (almost verbatim)... with the same ending.
Ah ha, your links to Tim are revealed!
And B-U-D spelled backwards and factored by 23 = T-I-M.
QED!!! Dink good .
Lol! Good catch there.
OK, I'm busted
FROM ANOTHER THREAD:
OK all you NAY sayers. Here's the photos you wanted.
I just arrived home yesterday from an extended business trip and the machine was at my home waiting from be. It arrived 0n 7/10 according to my wife. I've strung my first racket on it and WOW what a difference. It weighs a ton, is extremely stable and the tensioning head is great. I've just call a freind of mine who has been a professional stringer for over 30 years and asked him to come over later today to check this fire engine red beauty out. He's going to bring his calibrator w/ him so we can see if the claims about the arm angle are true. I'm going to ask him to evaluate the whole machine and I'll post his review probably tomorrow. Enjoy the show!
How lovely life can be, after waiting so long I am really happy for you.
It was really worth waiting for her to arrive, even if she seems to be more chinky (the red parts) than yanky (the black bit), but who cares at least there's some local content. A LF made in the USA, yes!!
She's big, heavy and beautiful in fire engine red. I just love the chrome trimmings and the double fixed-clamps which look a lot like the old Babs, so that's great.
The slide show was worth checking out and I'm impatient to see what your Pro stringer thinks of the arm angle, the suspense must be terrible, we can't wait to see what he thinks.
Life can be so cruel, a major break-through in DW stringing machines is about revolution the world market, its almost like the latest i-phone . . . . The guys at Str!ngway must be going through hell. . . .
Mongo, you're where it is man, what a privilege to be the very first stringer to actually receive the LF QUANTUM . . . awsome, simply awsome . . .
You show 'em mate, this is really great blood & guts stuff,
Good for you that you received it. I hope you enjoy it.
LF correlates to the iPhone? Have you completely lost your mind?
Non, it's just the emotion after waiting for more than a year to see this baby. I am so enthousiastic to see that LF has lived up to their promises and now that we can see it, I wonder why it took so long to come.
Mongo is delighted and as he's the only one who has actually had the machine in hand, it's normal that he shares his experience with the rest of us. Thanks again Mongo.
Lf has one of the most attractive tennis web-sites on the market. All those fabulous photos of the machines that made me dream until I actually got one of my own, but it was an original as LF was not available in the UK. From what I understand SW doesn't have acces to the Quantum, so I'll just have to settle for the SW ML.100 . . .
I can't wait to see how LF updates their site. Although Mongo's slide show is super, when Tim puts his artistic talents and his wonderful texts in place, then I think that even Steve Jobs will be impressed. The comparison with the i-phone is not so crazy as it seems.
I have posted a "review" of this amchine on another thread. Please go to: Laserfibre Quantum
to read it.
I thought moving GIFs were not allowed.
That's a point, now that the new QUANTUM stringer is on the market, an update on the LF website would be nice to see . . .
Hey Tim, let's see some changes, so you stopped the old machines more tha a year ago, let's see the latest models on-line.
This post basically sums it up nicely, I am going to do better than call Tim or email him. I will stop by for an explanation. He knows who I am. I have bought two LF machines. I have always supported LF and will always do. But this Quantum is a variance from the TRUE LF philosophy.
Please let us know what is going on up there. Maybe you can smuggle a camera in and get pics
Interesting thread. I was sure the original post was valid. Funny how all the nay-sayers disappeared once the pictures were posted. Machine looks amazing though. Looks well worth the wait.
No, the naysayers are still here and still don't believe any machines have been sent/received.
All these so called naysayers were saying is that they were told stuff by this Tim character that never happened.
Then this SethR guy and this Mongo guy get super roid rage like defensive. i will check these pics out when i get home Im sure it a nice machine.
But if Mongo got his why has the site not been updated. The quantumis now a whole year behind the advertised launch. I should call and order one just to see if it comes, then of course send it right back
Look, there is a long list of people who ordered these and have been waiting a long time. If these have truly been produced, why has only one person received their machine? A production run of 1 unit?
I was very interested in this machine, but I am nervous about the lack of info on their web site and the price seems a little high for what you get. I just went with the Revo 4000. I just felt more comfortable with Mark @ Alpha.
that is a revo 4000 in red with a lf tesion system, not very impressed and what i like a bout my lf is that it was light. i returned my revo for the issue of weight. wow disappointed.
Ok. It is not a revo 4000 in red.
It is a Pioneer DC Plus in red with a fancy tensioning mechanism.
Interesting point. The mounts and clamps on the Revo and Pioneer are the same according to Alpha. I guess if I extend your logic, you are saying Alpha has sucky mounts and clamps? Does Egnas make the Alpha machines because they "look" exactly like the Egnas Challenger except its blue and $150 more expensive.
Actually My Eagnas Challenger is blue. It kind of surprised me when I opened the box and saw a blue machine when all the pics of it were black. but its still a good machine
