    Goodday everyone,

Well I need a little help identifying some string (I cant figure out how to post a pic here). It is a light blue color I have a feeling it is Lux but not sure what kind, it is smooth no writing, texture or shape. I got it in a used racquet in the mains with Head fibergel power 16 crosses(can read this on the string) the blue mains look like the gauge me be a little thiner but not a 17. I hit with it and kinda like it. Playing with Head youtek ig speed 315 16/19 also not sure what the tension is but ill have to judge that.

Strings I use Msv hex 17L Mains 58# Prince lightning xx spin 16 crosses 58#

Also any recomendations for other hybrid jobs and tensions would be apreciated, kinda flat hitter with topspin shots when necesary and like to close the net also big flat or kick serve.

    Thanks All

Ok I see this discho string dosn't sell on TW, it looks like it could be a chance but I am leaning towards the Head ultra tour given head racquet and head crosses.

Discho big blue didn't look like it was quite like this sort of blue from the pictures from e b ay. Try it out, from the reviews it looks to be a clone of Alu Power.

I was thinking about trying alu power rough and the fibergel power. What would you recomend for tension?

I have been having a problem with my strings not snaping back with the focus hex and lightning xx spin @ 58# so I will also try the fibergel power with my focus hex.

Do you have any other low powered string bed sugestions and tension recomendations?

    1. I've never liked Alu Power rough in the mains, didn't feel quite right. If you do it, string it a couple pounds less to compensate for stiffness, it's a pretty stiff string.
    2. I would suggest looking for a soft smooth copoly in the crosses if you really want a great snap back for the hex. I've tested Black Mamba gear and Pro Supex Blue Gear with both Pro's pro Red devil and Klip Hardcore in the crosses. Excellent snap back. If you hate moving your main strings back in place, smooth poly crosses help a lot from my testing.
    3. Right now I'm trying a full bed of Pro's Pro Red devil, I'm on my 5th string bed and have to say I think I found my string of choice. It's $40 a reel, excellent tension maintenance, offers decent spin, and extremely comfortable. I'm using it in a midsize 90 right now, I string it 58-60. On my 4D 200 tours I string it up to 58lbs, thinking of moving it to 60 because I'm getting a little too much pop with the 95 size.

Yea I used to play with a full bed of focus hex @60# in my speedport white but the poly started to bother my shoulder, not to metion full bed of poly dosen't compliment the ig speed frame for some reason I didn't like it and alot of reviews said the same thing. No mater what I need a good multi to cross with poly I tried gut crosses with another frame and prefered the lightning xx. I'm definately going to try the fibergel power in the x's with focus hex(I have another 1/2 a reel to use before I start somthing else.
