I somehow stumbled across this post by my dad back in '06 when he was still able to play. I was around 10 yrs old at the time and had no interest in tennis at all, only basketball.

Funny how things change! Now my poor dad is unable to play due to multiple knee injuries and, here I am, filling his shoes and obsessing in this amazing sport.

Just thought I'd share this funny coincidence...it's truly apparent to me now that people, and life in general, really changes all the time!

    Cheers

    Mike's son :)

    Interesting.

So who taught you, did Dad teach you ? Does he coach you ?
Sad to know he can't play.

My dad did not teach me, I actually took a few private lessons from a coach at the time who also played with my dad, but then I stopped until last year when I joined my school's team.

Coincidentally, my mom is gone for a few days and I just woke up to find my dad in his tennis gear for the first time since '06. :)

He says "Don't tell mom."
