It seems to me that Hewitt has no chance in this match. He's already down 1-3.

As I said in an earlier thread, no donuts, but still an easy one for Roger.

Did you see that BH slice dropshot followed by the XC BH flick? That is ridiculous.

Lleyton is 2 years behing in ATP tennis IMO It's Safin/Federer for 2005. That's where the real talent lies...

Another delay. This event must be kept indoors. It more than makes up for not having an indoor slam.

    Hewitt will regroup?

I think Hewitt usually does well out of a reain delay - he tends to regroup and this may happen - whatever does happen this will change teh dynamics of the game for sure...

He can beat the talentless players on the tour (ie. everyone but Fed and Safin) so he'll be #3 next year.

Just super lame to have the Masters championship outdoors, the year ends with a bunch of indoor tournaments and should finish with an indoor championship! I miss the court w/ no doubles alleys, was a tradition, hopefully they'll go back to that court in Shanghai.

I do think it's wise to keep singles and doubles together because doubles is incredible live. Thank god it is indoors for the next three years.

    from eurosport...

    Refresh All Comments

02:52 With a vast array of fan dryers on the centre court, the surface is almost ready for play; more and more fans are wandering back to their seats and play sould get underway in around ten minutes time, shortly after 03:00cet!

02:30 The centre court at the Westside Tennis Club in Houston is being dried with hope of the players returning to the court to begin play around 03:00cet! Stay tuned to eurosport.com/co.uk!

01:58 A lot of spectators have left the centre court arena, while some hide under umbrellas... the rain isn't coming down too hard so Roger Federer and Lleyton Hewitt could come back onto court inside half-an-hour...

01:57 HEWITT 40-30 2-5... Rain begins to fall and the chair umpire has called the players to their bags... they quickly walk off to the locker-room...

That is pretty extreme to make it a best of 3 this late. I know for sure it was set to be a best of 5 until they made the change.

ESPN couldn't sink any lower. Apparently Texas hold'em is a higher priority than the championship ceremony. Would be a different story if Roddick was in the final. It's ESPN's fault that tennis rating are low and many know who Roddick, Fish, and Agassi are and do not know who Federer is, in my mind is the greatest ever. ESPN flat out sucks, big time.

The same poker tournament that theyve been showing ALL YEAR. Oh well at least it cleared up enough for Federer to clean up the mess that he makes of Hewitt.

no Roddick, no Agassi, no friggin' american...who wants to watch tennis, or any other sports for that matter??

espn is just being 'american', with their idiotic decision that watching a bunch of overweight/egomaniacs/rednecks playing cards is what amercians want to watch over a tennis game or ceremony in which the winner isn't an american. i see nothing wrong with that picture, this is the US of A afterall, isn't it?
