I hope they bring the support of the Vapor 6 back to the Vapor 8 as the Lunarlite had terrible lateral support.

ugh!!! same outsole...that thing was like ice on a hard court if you run at all (which most old guys don't do and think the traction was great). Doesn't it say something that Roger wore the VI in NY???

Fed to wear V6 again next year? If so, wouldn't it be like a GSOAT? That's like 3 years

I say the same thing... and I think our prayers were heard. That's what the new so called internal fit system in the forefoot is for which I think is going to be a hybrid of the Vapors 6 with the Lunar Vapor 7... :)

This 'old guy' (56) beat an 18 yr old who was on the GA state high school tennis team this summer in a USTA match. I think I had to run a little bit in my Lotto Syn-Raptors to do that, punk.

Guile and experience quite often beats youthful ignorance as displayed by VamosRafa:twisted:

I think VamosRafa tried to point out how bad is the outsole of vapor 7 and exactly VamosRafa mentioned that MOST old guys.
if Vamos said every old guys, you might be a little irritated by his comment.
you are not belong to them ^__^

back to the outsole of vapor. I have some of vapor vi and the outsole wears like crazy. that's the only reason, I can't buy Vapors. I saw Vapor 7 outsole in person but still It's not enough. vapor line should put CB outsole (I know the shoe weight might be higher though).

I actually kind of like the design. Its a lil more exciting with the cutouts to expose the flywire.

Nice to see the re-introduction of a vapor that isn't just predominantly white or black

i would never wear the vapors because of the (lack of) durability, but those black and green ones look fu*king beautiful! such a nice color scheme

At first I wasn't totally sold on these but actually the more I look at them, the more they're starting to grow on me.

Either of those colourways there looks awesome. I was considering buying another pair of LL Vapour Tours from TW as they're cheap but maybe waiting till January might be the better bet for these.

Does anyone know if they've made the new ones more solid/less stretchy than the current models? That was about the biggest drawback with them for me - they get a bit loosey-goosey in the mid and forefoot after a bit of use.

This must be the least evolution a Vapor has gotten between years?

I'm loving the silver ones, red and white ones and the blue ones (I'm sure I would end up with the white and black ones though). They LOOK like the VIs in terms of the material of the upper. Let's hope they are.

IMO, they look like the Kobe and Lebron BBall shoes... I do like the Black and Lime Green colorway tho.

You might be right, but that's great in my opinion. This year's Vapors are fantastic. A true return to form. I wouldn't want to see too much change. It seems like they were changing these shoes drastically each year for the past few years.

I won't be surprised if he doesn't wear these, they look pretty much similar to the current Vapours and its quite obvious what his opinion on it is.

I wish you could customize these... then there would be at least some sense of individualism when you see a bajillion kids wearing them

Does it look like the ankle is a little higher on these?

Looks like it might rub a bit uncomfortably, like the IV.

I probably won't buy them anyway if they have the same suck outsole as the 7.

Bring back the Vapor VI's already!

I was a huge fan of the Vapor V. I owned at least 5 pairs. I agree that if they could provide a 6 month guarantee that would be ideal. However, they are speed shoes so something has to give.

I quickly warmed up to the Vapor VI's once I realized you need to wear 2 pairs of socks. They were/are in my opinion the most stable of all recent Vapors and they're also amazing looking (the white, the black with grey, and the black with red...all very cool).

I tried the Luna VII's on and was greatly disappointed! They felt as if they were from a completely different manufacturer. No lateral support...they felt like marsh mellows and I immediately pictured my ankle rolling over. I passed on them and bought some Asics which felt clunky in comparison to the Vapors.

I then wrote a letter to Nike explaining how they ruined a good thing. And proceeded to beg them to bring back the Vapor VI's. I now realize that Federer himself still uses the VI but I'm not surprised. If the 8 is a step back in support I suspect he'll still be wearing the VI next year. Why mess with a good thing...

Just can't get my head around those three patches of mesh near the Nike Swoosh! Arrgghh why can't Nike just go back to these Vapors that had the GOAT heel on a shoe
