Ivan Ljubicic defeated Mario Ancic in Marseille, Open13 in three sets match by 7-5, 2-6, 6-4! Of course, that's last year's result.

Well, just seems funny and strange that they meet again, face to face in a draw two years in a row on the same tournament. Pity. :(

Ah, guess it happens... moving on... nothing to see here... moving on...

    Nothing yet, they play tomorrow.

It's a joke, Noelle... until tomorrow, that is. :)

Wow. I would have thought Ancic would choke. This is definitely a surprise.

But a very pleasant surprise. Even just watching Ancic over the past 6 months, he seems to get palpably better each match. He's still young and mental toughness often is the last "skill" to develop. But all his shots, which are already pretty solid, are improving and he has the goods, I think, for a real all-court game. Good groundies, good net play, covers the court well, and looks like he learns from past matches. Knowing Ljubicic and his game well may have been an edge for Ancic to be comfortable mentally. Will be interesting to see how much better Ancic can get.

Yes, Wimbledon is a perfect tournament for Mario! Just like Goran once, Mario only has to work on his head to become a great champion. He's got everything else already.

Really, they're much alike. Hey Andres, do you agree?

Yup, I think of him as a little corky version of Goran. I think he should volley more, and baseline less :)

But he didn't have the genius shots Goran used facing breakpoints, or stuff (between the legs on important points :))
