    Random random question,

An friend of mine gave me a really old lobster racquet to string... Does anyone have any idea what the stringing pattern is on it?

It's black with some red detailing. Very oval

Is it a Ceramic, Citation, Graphite, or Magnesium racket?

I have a question: why do you sign your post, isn't it a bit redundant?

Did you notice there are only three characters in the above response?

Sure you did. Try putting only 8 characters in a response.

Appears to me you have two CRs too. Just use 8 characters and nothing else.

It's a graphite. I THINK it's a 12x19. That seemed to work out pretty well.

    The only black/red Lob-Ster frame I ever came across was the Citation 110, which had a 16x19 pattern. I believe mains skipped 7& 9 H & T, and it required 2-piece stringing.

12x19?!?! I think the last stringer missed some shared holes. I had one that was strung 16x15.

There are two Graphite rackets one with four holes in the throat and the other with six.

In the six hole model the mains skip 7T, 9T, and 7H and has no shared holes tension is 55-68.

The four hole model the mains skip 8H and 8T. Shared holes are 6T, 7T, 9T, 6H, 7H, and 9H. 32' with 8' short side. The tension is 55-68.

Lobster did not make a 12x19.

Thanks for the heads up guys.

I wracked my brain over and over trying to figure this silly pattern out. The grommets had absolutely no indication of setting at all so it was all kind-of hit and miss. Finally, I gave in and went with what looked logical.Fortunately the person who gave me the frame is a friend and just wanted strings put in for some show, He's not really playing with it. Even so, it's a bit disappointing that I didn't spot the pattern =/ I guess there's always a first time for everything

Will try to get pics up as soon as possible.

    Good call Irvin,

Now that I think about it, it's the 4 hole model. I strung it at 50 just to be safe.

Yeah 12 shared holes, you don't see that too much any more. If the racket is still is good shape raising to the min tension of 55 or even 60 should not be bad.
