if nadal wasnt here for the past 4 yrs tennis would have been almost dead and many fans would have started watching other games as federer would have been the man everywhere . he brought this great rivalry which made tennis most worthy . also he was true inspiration for other players like murray and delp[otro to raise their standards to beat federer instead to mourn like the previous players like roddick and hewitt to always say federer is the best.

let this guy be more healthy and compete more like the way he does .

What are you talking about? Dynamic players and rivalries make tennis great.

Del Potro beats Federer once and suddenly he "beats Federer". Sigh...

Only fanatics believe that statement one player doesn't decide how tennis plays out in the future. If so then there wouldn't be so many legends in the game today. Its best to appreciate tennis even if your favourite player isn't competing

well I think the rivalry between those two is great. and federer had to raise his level in his games vs nadal. if it wasn't for nadal, it would be for someone else maybe. I don't think he could be that much more dominating than he was (nadal 2007 wasn't a nobody, certainly not. and yet federer was the superior player).

so thanks to those two, what they created is awesome. all the finals and battles the fought on a very high level.

Without sounding like a hater or a troll, if it wasn't for Nadal, Federer would of not found a great rivalry until 2008 where he had mono and would of lost to Djokovic. That would of been the biggest headline ever.

The rivalry between Federer and Nadal has been nothing short of phenomenal and one of the main reasons why tennis was really fun to watch after the disastrous 2002-2004 season. It was like Agassi vs Sampras matches all over again in that dramatic way.

I prefer Federer over Nadal ten folds but when those play each other, the quality from both players (most of the time) is phenomenal (see Rome 2006, Rolland Garros 2006, Wimbledon 2007, 2008) for further proofs.
