Steinbach just won easily. Osu unlucky in tiebreaks so far.
Naumann looked like he had the 1st set - had 3 break points when Steinbach served at 5-6 and Steinbach kept coming in and Naumann couldn't land the lob.
Who bet the under?
It was an unfair match
Wonder why texas not put Sho on 2? Everyone know s Diaz on 1 is Not that Strong.
Texas wins 4-1.
Soren played #1 today. I thought the team played better today. Homs won a tough match and the doubles looked better. Nice win before the conference.
1. #2 Soren Hess-Olesen (UT) def. #44 Chris Diaz (OHST) 6-1, 6-3
2. #52 Lloyd Glasspool (UT) vs. #28 Mikael Torpegaard (OHST) 4-6, 6-4, 3-3, unfinished
3. #60 Adrien Berkowicz (UT) def. Hunter Callahan (OHST) 7-6 (7-3), 6-3
4. George Goldhoff (UT) vs. #114 Herkko Pollanen (OHST) 7-6 (8-6), 4-3, unfinished
5. #68 Ralf Steinbach (OHST) def. Nick Naumann (UT) 7-6 (7-4), 6-1
6. Clement Homs (UT) def. Kevin Metka (OHST) 6-4, 7-6 (7-4)
1. #12 Kevin Metka/Ralf Steinbach (OHST) def. #35 Lloyd Glasspool/Soren Hess-Olesen (UT) 6-1
2. Adrien Berkowicz/George Goldhoff (UT) def. Herkko Pollanen/Mikael Torpegaard (OHST) 6-4
3. Nick Naumann/Michael Riechmann (UT) def. #34 Hunter Callahan/Chris Diaz (OHST) 6-2
Homs is a lift. He's better than Mee. Good showing from Goldhoff too. He's still the weak link in the team but can get it together at times.
doubles was decisive i think and Horns won 3 of 4 crucial tiebreakers, match was closer as a 4-1 in my eyes also then #4 Goldhoff could ve won it.
Didn't appreciate how easily the team was beat by the Sooners. If Center wants to surrender the Big 12 that easily then I was wrong about his turnaround. Something like that result cannot happen again this season.
I think I'll check out the match vs Texas Tech today.
Just turned on the Longhorn Network and what am I seeing - Texas vs. Texas State softball - looks like it's run well late.
Texas Tech is fun to watch. Good shot makers with flair.
What has it been showing?
Texas softball scored 3 in the bottom of the 7th after 2 were out to win - they joined the doubles point as they were getting to the tiebreaks.
Homs sure made a nice comeback - he was getting dusted in that 2nd set - looked like he tanked the last couple of games to get it to a 3rd and then refocused.
They showed a good bit of that Glasspool/Dojas match - would have been interesting to see how that would have played out - Dojas just kept slicing away on the backhand and making Glasspool hit shot after shot.
Soren killed it. Tech went up a break in the second, but Soren reeled off 4 games in a row to take the second. Lloyd, I don't know what was up with him. He wasn't playing overly well. He should've won the first set easily, but he just couldn't. I don't know why. Adrian was being Adrian. He won the first set with a tweener  Clemont absolutely thrashed Tech in the 3rd set. He literally could not miss, and his forehand was on fire.
My biggest concern going forward is mid-section of the lineup. Soren, Lloyd and Adrien are a great top 3 and Clement is a very good #6. But the Horns are vulnerable at 4 and 5, the belly of the line-up, it can be gouged.
Huge match tonight vs. Baylor at Caswell, anyone going ?
Wanted to, but can't make it. The crowd should be great.
Baylor just pulled Zsiga from the doubles lineup and juggled the bottom two pairings. Will he play singles?
SHO vs Lenz should be a great match. Hope both are in top form. At their best, they are arguably the two best players in College Tennis. Big XII could have the three best with Alvarez in the conversation too.
Baylor got the doubles point. Pretty expected.
I don't see Texas getting 4 of 6 in singles.
Glasspool rolling Lupieri, surprising.
Baylor wins 4-1.
What do you Longhorn fans think of the switch at 5 and 6? Is it a good move going forward or not?
I didn't get to see the match or have seen Homs play live, but the results (albeit limited for him) makes be think so. Going toe-to-toe with Zsiga is impressive considering how I'd consider him one of the top players at a lower position.
Homs looked pretty good out there tonight, I felt like he was going to win his match. Soren was a bit overwhelmed, Lenz was the better player for sure. I think Berkowitz should have won the first set of his match as he was up a break. Glasspool looked in control the entire time and played great. Goldhoff and Naumann were overmatched, but I felt like Naumann was close...The doubles wasn't close, Baylor had the better teams easily, something for UT to work on.
Baylor almost blew Texas out of their state (only Glasspool played a good match)
Lenz could be no.1 next rankings again.
Looks like Oklahoma & Baylor will play 2 more this season...and they ve already played 3 ...
Hmm...is Oklahoma allowed to get every Baylor win into their ranking points? (I think it is not right to get 3 or 4 times points for the same opponent?)
TCU up 3-1 on Texas. SHO won. He will be mighty tough to replace. TCU has the advantage so they are likely to close them out.
Long Horns in a long season next year
Sounds like the new varsity tennis courts will be done December of 2016 over by the baseball field, East of I35, which means another season of playing at Caswell next year.
do you like them playing at Caswell?
No, and there is no way UT can compete for recruits playing at a public tennis center...
UT and Tech going at it, SHO (1) and Homs (6) won for UT, Alex Sendegeya beat Berkowicz at line 3, Glasspool, Goldhoff and Naumann are going the distance !
Edit: Glasspool wins 64 in the third, Goldhoff is close and Naumann up 3-0 in the third.
Edit: Goldhoff clinches it 36,62,64, Texas wins 4-1, that match was a lot close than I expected, but credit to Tech.

With Soren back to 100% the match with OU should be more interesting this time around.
Texas needs doubles and Sho and a miracle. ..
Or a bunch of German guys.
SHO vs Alvarez should be a great match. I know Harris took him out earlier but SHO wasn't 100%. I've thought Alvarez was better all along.
That should have been a Texas win. They surprised me with the effort today but it is sad that they could not finish the job.
Just saw the scoreline. Close.
Chances? If anyone was there, give us a recap.
Sounds like baylor and tcu had a close one, too. I read on the big xii site there was a match point for tcu at number 1.
Well, 1vs2 in the conference final.
Suppose they will be seeded 1 and 2 in the ncaa's too? Same place, right, with baylor hosting? How is waco, tx this time of year?
Waco is hot and muggy this time of year. That should not be confused with the other 8 months of the year that are hot and muggy.
Texas definitely had their chances. When Oklahoma won the doubles point, I thought it wouldn't be competitive. Alvarez over SHO was a coin flip. Glasspool got closer than I would have thought to Harris. I thought Webb would win in straight sets. I thought Ghilea would win in straight. I thought Naumann and Papa would be close but Papa would find a way to lose (and he did). I thought Bragusi would be stronger than Homs and was wrong.
I really thought for Texas to have a chance, they needed the doubles point. Texas had chances and did not get the doubles point. I think Oklahoma falls to Baylor tomorrow.
Baylor gets the doubles point. Oklahoma gets 2 and 4. Lenz gets revenge on Alvarez and Baylor gets 3 and 5. It will be 4-2.
Longhorns sign Leonardo Civita-Telles for next year. 19 year old from Brazil who is currently ranked 1052 in the ATP.
Texas needs every guy they can get
Goransson with a shock first set over Hess-Olesen, but Longhorns looking good regardless.
Match very close. Do not know how far texas can get if they ve big Problems vs cal?
He even led a break deep in 2nd set
Fantastic. "Made peace with a neighborhood it once fought" just classic
I wonder if any other sport would have their facilities completely wrecked with no plan in place at the time of destruction.
