I'm a little late to reply here. We know one of the kids who left. Basically, Center was extremely rigid with practice schedules, to the point it was impacting his ability to take classes and graduate on time with a decent degree. He had to choose tennis or graduating basically.

I played at Texas and all of the players are encouraged to get the degree that they want. Plenty of successful former players with many different degrees. I suggest this thread be put to rest. All I read is a bunch of nonsense.

Even in our worst years we make Okie Lite look like a junior high club team

Oklahoma beats Texas 4-0. Goldhoff won the first set against Alvarez; I didn't expect that match to be close.

Texas won 3 first sets. That doubles point might have changed some things had Texas secured it.

Harris returning has really brought some life back to Big Brother Okie. I don't think too many people thought Texas would win this but it wasn't the blowout many expected. Not a terrible weekend for the Horns as a beatdown over a highly ranked Okie Lite and a loss to OU doesn't hurt seedings much.

Our women won in Fort Worth over the Froggettes, that certainly wasn't expected.

They played two injured players and lost their best player mid-season. The other matches were looking like a 4-3. Not exactly something to brag about. Texas SHOULD beat just about everyone on any given year.

This season has turned into a roaring success to say the least.

Goldhoff with a career defining win sends the Horns to Tulsa!

Did they start early, or did they really finish a match in less than two hours with doubles going to a tiebreak and multiple third sets in a 4-3 match decided in a third-set tiebreak?

It was carried over from yesterday. Yesterday rain came and forced them to move its conclusion to today. The 1st set in each singles match was complete when the rain came yesterday

Good for UT! Written off early on, by myself included, but what resolve to pull off the upset. Knew A&M was a bit overrated

Women in the Sweet 16 also, that's a bigger upset.

To think, Harrison Adams and George Goldhoff used to train together.

Harrison was the stud back then.

Edit: Erik Nordahl featured is at dartmouth and Tj(the little girl) is a 5 star or 4 star air force commit.

There's a video of Goldhoff winning the match and then tearing his shirt off and making the "money" Johnny Manziel gesture to the A&M fans, even though I was happy to see the Horns beat the Aggies, I thought it was a little over the top...

Goldhoff plays high risk game and is not the most level headed out there. He has come out on the short end in pressure situation several times in his career. He is definitely a player that feels the pressure in big moments so finally coming out on top in a huge moment against an arch-rival in the biggest win of his career definitely prompted a huge release of adrenaline and energy. Can't blame him too much.

He used to be such a conservative player in the juniors. It's amazing to see what has changed.

Gotta feel bad for Ortiz. He served for the first set three times against Diaz, at 5-2, 5-4, and 6-5.

But he went away in the second set 6-0 ? That's not ok, the guy I feel bad for is Goldhoff, after the big win against A&M he comes out and beats Torpegaard, only to see the upset slip away, ditto for Senior Riechmann, anyone know what happened to Banzer ?
