I am looking for one of those real giant display tennis racquets. I have seen them made by Prince, Wilson, Dunlop, and Head. I don't care about the brand...though I play with Prince, so I do have more affection for them. Looking for it to hang in the university tennis facility. Email me if you have one or know of one. Thanks.

    I would also like one
I've always wanted that giant K90
You'd figure that when new rackets come out, they have the new giant models. So do they throw out the old ones?
Anyone know where I can get my hands on one?
I'm located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

these are just companies that make a big racquet. the ones I'm talking about are exact replicas of the real racquets...just enormous...for hanging in a sales floor in a tennis shop

I've always wanted one of those giant racquets to hang in my room. I saw a few giant replica ones of Nadal's APDC at a tennis store called Top Serve Tennis, here in Australia.

I rang the guys to ask what they do with them once they're finished with them. The phone call went like this:

ME: Hi this is a bizarre question but I was wondering what you do with the Giant Nadal racquet that's on display in your front window once you're finished with it?

STEVE: Well they're there for promotional purposes and once the season is over, it goes back to the company (Babolat). They send giant racquets out to us when they've got new models coming out. Why do you want it? Do you want to play tennis with jumbo racquets and jumbo sized balls or somethin?

ME: Well i want to decorate my room with it. You know, hang it from the ceiling.

STEVE: Well I'm sorry to say, but these racquets are only lent to us. They are made of fibreglass and are very expensive to make. That's why the company takes it back when we're done with it. If you want to buy one you could always try ringing Babolat up. I'd imagine the racquet to cost something like $3000.

ME: Gee, well in that case. I guess I won't be decorating my room after all.

STEVE: Yeah that'd be a good idea mate.

Anyway, I was pretty disappointed. I had a closer look at the giant replica of Nadal's APDC in a different sport store and even held it in my hands. It certainly doesn't feel like it's made of fibreglass from touching the racquet. Seriously could a giant racquet like this cost $3000? That's crazy. BTW, if anyone knows how I can get one without paying $3000 I'd be very grateful =]

This guy Steve is a legend by the sound of it ,''Do you want to play tennis with jumbo racquets and jumbo sized balls or somethin?'' ..LOL... you should have told him that you were from a mental institution and needed a racquet with a large sweet-spot.:)....

Seriously they dont cost $3000 and does not make of fibreglass. if they costed that amount , I doubt they will lent it out to some mid-sportshop. Please give me the number so I can make a phonecall to our friend Steve........
