Looking at when the Big 3 and Sampras lost 3 consecutive matches:

Djokovic did it recently with his losses in Australian Open, Indian Wells, and Miami. Before that, he last did it 10.25 years ago in the fall of 2007, actually losing 5 in a row, Madrid, Paris, 3 at Round Robin.

Federer last did 15.5 years ago it in Summer of 2002 - Canada, Cincinnati, and Long Island

Nadal lost 4 consecutive matches, 1 at Paris and 3 round robin matches at 2009 ATP Tour Finals.

Nadal last lost 3 consecutive matches at 3 different tournaments 13.5 years ago in Summer of 2004 - Stuttgart, Canada, Cincinnati.

Sampras lost 4 consecutive matches in May 2002 - Houston, Rome, Hamburg, World Team Cup.
He also lost 3 consecutive matches in spring 2001 - Miami, Rome, Hamburg
He also lost 3 consecutive matches in January 2001 - Australian Open, Memphis, Scottsdale
He also lost 3 consecutive matches in May 2000 - Hamburg, 2 at World Team Cup.
He also lost 4 consecutive matches in Spring 1997 - Miami, Monte Carlo, Rome, World Team Cup
He also lost 3 consecutive mathces in Spring 1995 - Hamburg, Rome, French Open

How could I miss those 2012 Sampras matches!!! A 40 year-old Sampras doing what Federer may not attempt to do!

Ummmm, why does the OP list the various times players lost three in a row but only the LAST time Federer did it. He lost three in a row a number of times before that as a pro, but these are strangely not mentioned here

It also goes without saying that unfortunately Rafa has never once been healthy for the end of year indoors exhibition, which explains why he hasn’t won it :(

Incorrect.

The list of moral champions of that event has Rafa winning it every year since 2005, except in 2009 when his great morality permitted him to allow Federer a single title.

Wow, just can't please you guys. First you say I'm so obsessed with Nadal, every post I make I talk about him, then when I try not to mention him as much, that bothers you too. What are you? A woman?

Quite the man ;) and what would you do without me Batman? ;)
