I have posted an advert in the wanted column but I thought I would post a link to it here just to make people aware of it. I know its probably going to annoy some people but I'm really keen to get hold of some of this stuff and not everyone looks at the wanted section so here is the link to it and if anyone has any of the stuff they have bought aand want to sell then let me know please.
    Sorry.

With all of the discount stores (Ross, Marshalls, TJ MAXX etc) removing all of their Christmas and winter stuff, I was wondering if anyone has found any new tennis gear as they increase their "New Years Resolution" athletic clothes stock.

I have yet to see any U.S. Open themed gear at any of these stores, so I was hoping that they were going to come out soon.

    Any leads?

    Cheers!

So far I haven't seen anything. I did notice a bunch of winter athletic stuff on the clearence rack and very little on the regular price rack. It looks like their moving the stuff out for spring arrivals coming in the next couple of weeks.

    major bummer....

Rugged Warehouse has put me into a frenzy. Went today with my wife to rugged warehouse out in outside raleigh and found a pair of air zoom advantages ($40), air court ballistics 1.1 (charcoal/pink) in 8.5-9.0 ($40), and a pair of Air Zoom Vapor VI with the RF (Blue/white) in 9 ($50). I was bummed due to my feet being size 10.5 and I already have a unworn pair of Advantages. My wife found Air Zoom Maribella's in Blue ($40) and Air Zoom Mystify's in Red ($50). Just thought I would share. Now I'm in an all out hunt for Vapor VIs.

Got a pair of the Sterling Blue Vapor VI's from a Nike Factory Store for $28 over the weekend.

Looked like it was the last pair in the store and they didn't have any other tennis shoes that I saw.

Nice find! It is from Nadal's line that he wore during the 2008 Davis Cup. There are some nice wristbands that are the same colorway. If you can find it, Nike also made a Power Crew as well. Nadal wore a sleeveless version while playing in the Davis Cup.

Went to another Nike outlet and the only tennis gear they had in the store was the Federer wimbledon shorts (long white, with gold stripe down the side) on the clearance racke for $12.99.

Never knew about rugged wearhouse until you mentioned it. Turns out there is one about a minute away from where I live. Just went there yesterday. Saw an assortment of breathe cage II's for $50 (none in my size unfortunately), all cb's (1.1, 1.2, and 1.3), and some vapors.

The thing that surprised me the most though was that they had a air zoom vapor 5 GRASS SOLE VERSION...

I don't know how that got there, but they have the vapor 5 (white with the concord swoosh) with a grasscourt sole in size 11. If anyone wants it, I can pick it up and ship it to you.

If anyone sees the Federer Wimbledon shorts in L at a good price, and can pick them up for me I'll be more than glad to pay for them, thanks.

Tomorrow thru Sunday the Rugged Warehouses in my area are having a $3/$5/$7/$9 for their winter clearance. I may go and check this out just in case the shoes go up for sale... Those that do have a Rugged Warehouse in your area, might possibly be the same sale as it is on their company website.

I've seen many vapors vi and even I saw 11.5 vapors V recently.
Finally, our nike outlet lowered Wimbledon vapor vi to $60 but I recently got it from nordstrom rack for $50.
I did not know you were looking for shoes :)

check this seller at bay. looks like the seller has many vapor vi to liquidate.
    quiglie

anyway, is this vapor vi has mold issue?

NO idea how many times i've tried going to NR, but something always comes up. Around here all the stores carry the regular avg joe's shoes. none of the high-end stuff. I wasn't really looking for shoes per say, but when i got the Nike shirts i got the urge. i just want to try on the cb 1.3's and vapor VI's to see which fits better.

i thought nike fixed the mold problem. i heard they fixed it with the newer shoes, meaning newer stock.

    Cool, thanks!

I don't know your foot size, but they do run a little tight up front...

That's why I haven't quite decided yet. I keep thinking they will be too tight for me up front. I could buy both and try them on, but i have bills and fees and that much money out of my account at once is a pain not to mention refunds aren't that quick.

Comfy? :-? I find the black/silver to be very stiff, and not as easy to break-in as the other Vapor VI (white/sterling blue, white/silver, white/black)...

these are still quite comfy. But I do understand that they feel a bit stiff in general (maybe the mats used since it is black?). I don't have other vapors to compare it to though, but they feel stiffer than the advantages and the new balances that i have that are still new. Still, not bad for $50 amirite?

It was even better when I paid $32 for the Sterling blue/white...I think it's the black hard rubber is much different from the white rubber. I also have the Zoom Advantage, which is stiffer than Vapor V, but much softer than any Vapor VI for sure...

    Rugged Wearhouse!!

Went to Rugged Wearhouse for the first time today, and I found these:

    :)
for $49.99 in size 11 and 10.5. I bought the 11 and one of my friends bought the 10.5.

I also saw Courtballistec 1.3's in Black/yellow/blue for $50 size 10.5, Vapor VI in Black for $50, Courtballistec 1.2's in White/yellow/black for $40, Courtballistec 1.1's in White/pink/gray, White/yellow/black, and Black/Lime Green for $30, Air court Del Mar in White/grey/gold, and some Air Zoom Trainers in White/Blue/Black for $40.

It was really a great selection, and most of them were actually in pretty regular sizes (9-11.5).

I'm just a little bummed that the Vapors don't come with a warranty but for $50 I can't complain. I just hope they don't wear down in a couple weeks like some people have said.

Its pretty much just a discount clothing and shoe store like Ross or TjMaxx, they just seem to get a lot of tennis shoes. Just google it and see if there's one close to you.

Has anyone seen the nike winter line stuff at TJMaxx/Ross/Nordstrom Rack? I have not found any of it anywhere. Kind of odd, as the fall stuff was in these stores after 1 week of the new stuff being in stores...

In my opinion, we will not see anything until end of Feb.
those stores know they can't sell well tennis stuffs during the winter time.
I will do same thing if I am the merchant buyer manager from those company.

I frequently visit those stores but I don't go often nowadays.
Also TJ and marshalls prices were increased about $5 or more.

Hey, where are you in Tennessee?

I went to Rugged Wearhouse in Knoxville yesterday (Sunday). They had a few yellow/white/black CBs, some of the lesser quality CBs black/white/silver/pink, and some Court Challenge (i think). They were all 10.5s and 11s. Looked like the store was pretty much cleaned out of shoes for the time being.

I went to the one in Chattanooga right off of the Gunbarrel rd. exit. Yeah the one where I went only had 3 pairs of vapors one CB 1.3, and a bunch of lower quality shoes. I assume they'll be getting new shipments soon.

Kimguroo's got it right. These store may not get anything tennis until feb. Warmer weather will begin to show itself come march for us people to the lower states. I don't know why prices have changed for you kimgoruu. Everything here (wake co, NC) has remained the same.
