ah thanks too far from California
Nice finds! How much did you have to shell out for the two Nike shirts?
Nike tennis tee was at the front and at ross the polo was in the middle but u can tell its tennis once u c it if thts what ur asking..?
Ha my local smith is the exact same way. I'm in there every week and I've never seen another person in the tennis department. I'll have to see if they're getting rid of it in illinois too
can you get some shoes for me too please!!
ohh gotcha. nice stuff. sorry one of them was defective
Not exactly what I was asking, more so that I couldn't see the price tags on the Nike shirts, and I wanted to know how good of a deal you got
Since some *********s are not going to carry tennis stuff anymore, would any other tennis items(racquets, strings, balls) be discounted?
As I mentioned in my one post, besides the white/blue 2k11's I grabbed 2 Youtek Radical MPs for $79.99 each at mine Though everything tennis related is now gone at the one.near me.
Oh, okay. Was everything tennis for sale or just clothes and a couple of sticks?
At my local store absolutely everything tennis related that they had in the building was being liquidated.
Nice. I'll have to check out my local 'smith. Thanks.
Nike tee was 10 the polo was 16
it's tax free weekend here in NC (back-to-school shopping). Anyways, the wife and I went to the outlets in Smithfield and it was a bust in under armour and Nike (as usual). Nike had one pair, one pair, of vapor 8s, Sz 9, for $80. I get it, its an outlet store but $80 would be reasonable anywhere else outside of an outlet. My wife and I went to Adidas and picked this stuff up. It was BOGO 50% off any item of equal or lesser value...
barricade polo ($30) and shorts ($20+50% off). outfit was about $40.
Wife found these...
^^I had the same experience at the Smithfield outlets last visit, zilch at the all the stores except for Adidas...nice snag btw.
^^ I commended both the cashier and the store manager on duty for having tennis apparel when nike did not. Both men were quite pleased that I had a pleasant shopping experience. Furthermore, the store manager was taken aback as well as found it laughable that Nike did not have tennis related items and apparel as the nike walls are littered with pictures of Federer, Nadal, Serena, and Sharapova. Adidas had two 32" photos of Caroline Wozniacki pasted with larger posters of other Adidas team sports icons hanging outside the store, and that was it. Adidas made the effort in having spring barricade crews and polos as well as the shorts to match. Also, Adidas had Barricade 6.0s and team shoes, as well as Responses. Same thing went on the womens side for shoes. It is what it is tho, another huge win for adidas when it comes to outlet shopping.
i couldnt agree more. it's ok if nike only had tennis stuff every once in a while, but when they put these athletes all over their store, they better carry their stuff!
this thread has inspired me to hit up the local adidas and nike outlets for cheap gear.
i try to hit up TW's liquidation section as often as possible but i think outlet pricing will be even better.
Saw 2 pairs of Asics Gel Games at Ross for $29.99 each. Size 11 and Size 10
It's sometimes much better, just kind of have to be either lucky or know a worker there to get those great deals.
Just making the flea bay rounds, and I found my FAVORITE kicks of all time. CC Genius Novak US Open (Halloween) for $70!
Also, the GCOAT CB2.3 (Black/Neon) in Size 11 is going for $70 and it ends tomorrow. 110723303325
saw the same thing here in raleigh....
Just a few of the stuff that I bough from Nike clearance. I let pass many shirts and shorts since I didnt need them. When you go to my Nike Clearance you need to buy when you found things cause if you let it pass, their is an middle eastern man that buy in amount of $10,000 in between shoes and cloths. And I dont like to be rush to buy anything so many time I let pass shoes, shirts etc.
All shirts for 9.99, and shorts for 11.99
Start with some of my dirty cloth
Some shirts... you mean there's more.
Anyone know or seen if the Smith's in California are clearing out their tennis stuff?
picked these up today at my local shop for $60. these were last pair they had. I thought the price was really good since they came out this past spring.
I have bought the last 4 shirts and shorts from TJ Maxx and Ross
There are a lot of Nike Pro combat gear at Ross right now. I picked up a few of the fitted shirts, my favorite shirts to play tennis in. Also at Marshalls there were a few nice Sportswear jackets.
just picked up 3 really nice Nike golf polos for $20 each at TJ Maxx, 2 were originally 50 and the other was 60. Also just got 3 Nike Pro Combat compression shorts for 15 each, originally 25
had a long lunch break and browsed ross & marshals.
white nike drifit shorts for 14.99 and asics gel game for 30.
but alas i didn't pull the trigger. i was hesitant to get the shorts as they where white. thinking about it now i should have.
the asics just felt odd. i could have used it as every day shoes but it didn't work out.
i got some oil and vinegar bottles instead for $3 bucks.
Picked up a pair of Barricade 5's today for $60. I was so happy, it's impossible to get cheap size 14 shoes nowadays.
I picked up a pair of those Gel Games today at Ross, in 11.5; it was the only pair there. Sweet shoe, feels very comfy!
So how do you guys know which marshalls and tj maxx's to look at? I checked both of mine in my area (suburban philly) and didn't see not even 1 tennis item. Seeing your guys' pics of finding nadal hats and tops makes me so mad!!!! hahaha
@rafa - it's hit an miss...you might find gold at the local goodwill/salvation army. i've heard of racquet finds there...which reminds me...
go to stores everyday. that will be the best chance to get something hahaha.
I used to visit three times per a week and found most of items but I rarely visit stores nowadays because less tennis items since last year.
I understand how you feel (irvine, orange county) there is not one single tennis items at ross/marshalls or tj maxx
Hey! Another Irvine user! I actually found in a South-OC Store for about $20. You can also go to Irvine Tennis and get all apparel 20% off...
yea you guys are way lucky. i never find anything
haha ya its very annoying to make the trip there and not find anything!!! does anyone know how the marshalls, tj, ross..etc. are in long island new york? I noticed there are a bunch in the hamptons area and surrounding...so im curious if they ever have any tennis stuff
Try the Norstrom Rack in Costa Mesa. I get my gear from the one in the LBC
Yeah, I usually buy stuff from them. Kirk is a really awesome guy and my old high school buddy has been working there forever. I always get great deals from them.
Ill definitely check it out this weekend!
Tyler? He's an awesome guy.
Yeah! Haha, we played high school tennis together until I quit the team lol. He's the only guy I trust to string my frames.
Frunk, if you ever want to meet up to hit a little or play doubles shoot me an email through my profile
Found a few pair of these gems, got them for considerably less than retail and just in time as my current Vapor VI are on the outs. These blow any vapor 7 or 8 out of the water. The hunt for even more backups continues...
ah I had many but they get black dots after little use.. known defect
So jealous of those VI's. I'm a size 11 too but am on my last one. I might just try the 2k11 next because they're pretty similar.
