That surely is interesting.. Well, it is obviously different with the one Fed wore, mine is the customised retail version, so basically it is still Vapor 7 but customised to be similar with Fed's shoes.. Well, I am still not that familiar with Vapor shoes as this is the first time for me to collect Vapor shoes..

I know that Fed always wear Vapor 6, and this shoes is definitely Vapor 7.. I have Vapor 6 and 7, so I can differentiate them directly and they are totally not the same, so this shoe is Vapor 7.. There is also a card stating that the shoes are "Promotional", and there is also "Sample Request", with the model name as Lunar Vapor Tour RF Grass, etc.. Last, on the box, it has totally different tag with those on retail shoes box.. So I can say that it is not the exact RF shoes but the RF customised version of Vapor 7..

You can see the inside of the tongue:-

For those not in the shoe game- this was probably made for fed because of the tag it's a PE tag.

For the tag in box - pou Chen is the factory where it was made

To BVTN- means they shipped them to Nike Inc Headquarters

Wear test means they were given to fed to wear but but he didn't want to wear them

Does it mean that this shoe is one of the shoes that Fed "suppose" to wear but he chose not to?

I'd like to add some clarification, because that is a PROMO/Wear test tag, not a PE tag. T

These look like a promo shoe that was ordered by Nike WHQ for weartesting. The reason why the Sports Marketing contact is from EHQ (Amsterdam) is because they probably planned the testing for Europe.

It is very rare for anybody but Federer to use shoes with the RF logo on it for tour, so I think these shoes were made for general wear-testing of the grass-court sole. When Nike does standard weartesting all of the vapors have the RF Logo or Rafa Bull Logo present.

I hate to say this but those don't look to be made for Roger. He is a size 12 but his width is 4E (he has been wearing that width for awhile) so Nike would never weartest a shoe with a M width for Roger.

They are really cool shoes but I wouldn't hold onto them to collect, if you are a 12 you should wear them. I would :)

Just a quick rundown of what I have seen recently at stores near me:

Size 15 Barricade 6.0 in old blue/white/green colorway for 21.99 at Ross.
A Euro tagged Nike showdown woven short in Gridiron for 19.99 at TJ Maxx.
Nike Conquer Knit Jacket in Nano Grey/Solar Red and Photo Blue/Black for 24.99 at Ross about a month ago.
Nike winter v neck sweater (don't really care to look up official name) for 24.99 at Marshalls.
Nike RF hat at Marshalls for 14.99 in blue/light blue colorway.

.......and I think that is about it. I have not really seen much in large numbers, but a few random items here and there. It seems that there in only a small amount being dispersed to the stores in my area. A little disappointing, but hey, I'm always looking!

Cheers!

For all the Nike fans out there, picked up a pair of Vapor 8s in Metallic Silver for about $45, about to get some CB 3.3s tmrw for 80 plus tax. This was at a factory store.

Dont really like the Vapors, probably should have gone with the 2K11s, they were the same price as the Vapors.

My brother went to Dubai this last week and I asked him to keep an eye out for some tennis gear for me. He lucked into this in some hidden away corner shop.

Cost him (me) around $45. Which is a steal I think.

I was a bit sceptical because I didn't really like the way they looked from the pics I've seen, but I've changed my mind. They look great in person!

Not earthshaking but found a yellow Nike Swoosh Bandana at my local Marshall's, along with a red Nike dri-fit tee and a Reebok Struct crew: $4, $12.99 and $12.99 respectively.

Great thread!! I never realized these kinds of places carried tennis gear. Tomorrow: Ross...

The Ross near me had about six or seven Rafa 2011 AO jackets in crimson/khaki, from XS to XL (no Large though) for the eh price of $39.99.

TJ Maxx had some nice Euro tagged Nike Sportswear tees, including one size large Nike "tennis" tee. Though, it fit like a medium. Euro sizing too?

Cheers!

My TJ Maxx near me had this Rafa hat selling for $8. I wish the hat wasn't that color otherwise I would have jumped on it. Oh well.

Embroidery is time consuming. Ups the labor cost ;P

add the extra virgin white paint and plinyl trying pass off as leather:) I wonder what the hell Nike is thinking when price pointing this shoe."lets make a white shoe, put some ******** #11 ala train, and place some nonsense wrting on the paper innersole, oh yeah lets poke our consumers eyes out by putting a $170 price tag"- Genius!!!

Great finds. Minor point: I'm pretty sure Fed wore the grey version of this shirt on the spring hardcourt (google Federer Miami 2011) and the concord (what you bought) on the spring Euro clay tour (google Federer Rome 2011) - look at the images.

Yes!! I saw the same thing! About $23-24 yup :D

I picked up a white and pink polo (so wimby and cincy 2010), and some shorts too. I'm glad to see that it arrived for you, though, because I read reviews of g-smith (online store) on yahoo and some other sites; I'm getting scared because a ton of them expressed problems with their orders being shipped to them (several-month delays?!) and terrible/nonexistent customer service...here's hoping I get my stuff like you!! >.<

Edit: unless you got them from a physical store, in which case I shudder to think about whether I'll get my order :(

Found these with my Christmas cash at a local tennis shop. The Grey & Yellow Fila's were $14, the white adidas Men's Fall Barricade were $7, and the charcoal adidas Men's Spring Response were $7! The hats were both $10.00 each, while the K-Swiss Men's Fall Lines Crew was $17. The blue Diadoras were $30 there as well. The Babolat bandana was only $1. Let's just say I racked up!
