I got a sweet deal on a reel of Lux. I want a cross for it that will hold tension better. ATM tension maintenance sucks. It will be in a Babolat Pure Storm.

Powa, have you tried Gosen Powermaster as a cross? It's the same string as OGSM but with a rectangular rather than round shape. It should not cut into and notch a copoly main. If you can avoid notching the stringbed will be much more consistent in response from the beginning to end of its life. The shape also makes it much slippier than OGSM.

I prefer the syn gut cross. I love it actually. It gives me the feel I grew up using with the control and spin of a poly main. I only use full poly in open patterns. The tighter 18x20 lets me hybrid with much better results.

I cant see how. It would be a cheaper option and is one of the best cheap polys you can buy. I will be very surprised if it is better than Lux. Lux makes the best poly strings I have ever used.

    Try Zyex MonoGut

Zyex MonoGut is hard enoguh to stand up to 4G and it holds tension better than any other non-gut string I have tried.

You're thinking of Polymaster, Gosen's rectangular copoly. Powermaster is a syngut, identical in composition to OGSM but with a rectangular profile.

I didn't have any issues, but I usually make sure I don't kink the string, so I am not sure if it has a tendency to kink more than other polys.

unfortunately it is not identical in price..$12.60 per pack is just not worth it to me as a cross. I am real happy with ogsm.

4g definitely kinks a lot easier than most polys. I noticed the same. It does not have the coil memory I am used to.

I bet it would be that stuff from auction site, dont bother with crossing it as it will be probably pure garbage.
