I know I posted somethin along these lines a week or so ago, but I never break strings, but I'm using Luxilon Alu Power (the light blue ones) in the mains.

I like the way my racquet plays, but in my other thread people said I could change to other strings with more feel, power comfort and similar durability for less $$.

I read somewhere that Luxilon strings take a bigger bite out of the ball and such, so will switching to a different string affect that? and what string could I switch to that will have the same affect, maybe even better? Keep in mind I'm not a string breaker at all. Oh yeah, and I planned on going to a thinner gauge too.

    Try Monogut 17. It's 1.22mm and 4 bucks a set.

I would look at the babolat Hurrican Pro, they are suppose to be Babolats answer to Luxilion's Alu-Power
