I don't know about the shape, but it makes no sense that she should change her racquet after winning wimbledon, now it seems like she is not playing nearly so well with the shark.

I dont think shes actually using the shark...I think its just a paintjob on her old racquet.

Even Johnny Mac & Mary Carillo joked about this fact on TV today during the match. They both mentioned about how many players do paint there racquets & that it was odd that Sharapova would change racquets from Wimbledon to the US Open. They showed a graphic of the More Attack @ Wimbledon & the Shark @ the Open as well. I'm glad to see the announcers are getting involved in the whole paint job controversy lol.

Did those graphics prove it was a different racquet? I think the shark has a different number of crosses, and I also believe she was using a TT Hornet at winbledon not a more attack.

I didn't get a chance to tape the match, so it was too brief for me to count strings. It's quite possible both are Hornets anyways, so the announcers still aren't telling the whole truth lol.

I wonder whay they can't just realaunch the Hornet as 'racquet of choice of maria shapaova'. it's kind of bizarre the lengths Prince go to to sell a new product, when they could just as easily continue to sell a tried and true popular choice of a reigning wimbledon champion who actually won it using the old racquet.

Same thing with Henman, He continues to use the pro braided, while the public are supposed to pay more for the new X1, which Henman won't use. yet he is supposed to be endorsing it.

In front of my computer, obviously
Maria's raquet looks a lot like JMG's (admittedly I haven't examined either one too closely) which means either they are both still using Hornets, or they have both actually changed racquets. Gee, I wonder which it could be...

Prince is lacking a PD clone and they want a piece of that pie.

Soon Head will release the "LM Intensity" aka the "LM Pure Drive".

I couldn't agree more. Sell their actual racquets, while still creating new technologies for pros and recreational players to try.
