That depends on the condition and it is hard to see just looking at a picture. There is also more than likely going to be some shipping involved in the deal unless you live close enough to pick it up. The bidding still has two days left so there is no telling what it is going to actually sell for.

If you can get it for $60-70 and it is nice shape.. it is a good deal IMHO. I have found that decent, used stringing machines hold value quite well.

Another point is the descripiton says "Everything you get is in the picture." Do you see any tools? When you buy a new one you get about $30-$40 in tools. The bidding usually jumps in the last minute or two of closing also.

I suspect no tools included except the clamps. Ask the seller to verify and send more pictures.

I don't use an awl very much, but there are times when it is the only/best tool for the job (installing grommets/bumpers, clearing blocked holes, enlarging grommets) so I would put it on the list of basic tools you should have arond.

Specialized cutters are not a big deal. Wire cutters or bandage shears will cut string just fine. Some people get by with ordinary household scissors. I've seen a guy cut strings out with toenail clippers before.

    Needle-nose pliers are a must.

A T S S P O R T S often has this (the latest model which loos better) on sale for $139 delivered with tools and strings, plus life time warranty (to the original purchaser).

If the used one is not substantially cheaper (at auction close), I think a new one is a better buy (warranty).

Just in the last three weeks, it has gone on sale twice. One of them was called the Full Moon sale so it was only a couple weeks ago.

I bet it is coming in a week or two. You can sign up for their newsletter then you know when it will be on sale.

I have this machine and it is very well built.

Now we are up in the high $50s for this item. When you include shipping and no tools it does not look as good does it?

As far as I am concerned I think it is best to buy new than to buy whatever someone else does not want for one reason or another. If it was me and I wanted a new entry level machine I would go for the Gamma Progression 200. Free shipping, tools, 5 sets of string, it's new, it's guaranteed and you get all the help you need from 'Gamma Tech' (Bret.) What more can you ask for?

Support TW forum it is worth more than you think.

It's ironic when people will spread info about Eagnas because reports of poor customer service, yet they'll buy some used unknown piece of equipment from a online auction where there is also likely no real customer service or warrenty....

At least the Eagnas is under warrenty, it's just the fun of cashing in on that.

He is right. Eagnas has better strings than machines though.
