macro string photos

    Hey there, was looking at my strings for wear through a loupe (aka magnifier) the other day and thought it looked kinda cool. So I grabbed a macro lens and snapped these shots. The lens is a canon 105 macro at its closest focus distance giving a 1:1 magnification ratio. Theres a little detail lost scaling them down for web

    1 Bought this stick secondhand and the string origins are unknown but as can be seen here its a multifil/poly hybrid. The multi is starting to fray whilst the poly is unmarked, no surprises here. the red paint from the stencil. Probably about 20 hours hitting so far.

    2. Gamma TNT2 16 Fatcore Looks almost new, a couple of hours max on this one so far

    There would be lots of opportunities to do funky things with the lighting or even press a ball down onto the strings to simulate a live hit
