Mac's current Dunlop racket tension?

    does he still string his sticks in the low 40s?

    No i don't think so. I think he is in low to mid 50's now.

    The real question is whether or not he is using poly strings nowadays. That will have a big impact on the string tension question. I am not sure if poly would work well in the mid 40s.

    Don't think Mac will ever use poly for a number of reasons: 1) he has flat, compact strokes, 2) his game requires feel, 3) his arm is half a century old...

    I totally agree. He doesn't even know what to call poly but just calls it "that synthetic gut stuff". To him, all strings are either natural gut or it's just "synthetic".

    ....naturally.

    BTW, Mac's old fishnet C10 hangs in a nearby tennis shop. Shop owner was a tech for him at one time. Leather grip and full gut at about 50lbs.
