    that usopen win lendl had over mcenroe must have really been a turning point. from that match until the end of their careers that wct match is the only time mcenroe beat lendl again.

    yes i was looking at that too on wiki..you can always count on lendl to have the last word :twisted: "hey look guys..i won again..the WCT story ends with me...WINNING".

    Also, skimming through that 89 sf..mcenroe was 'really trying' in contrast to say his 1985 efforts in the wimb qf, or aust qf when a gloomy mcenroe really looked like he gave up/tanked losing 0-6 and being broken to 0 or 15, in the final game.

    His best year is 2012-13. He plays ATP pros even in singles and doubles in World Team Tennis matches . And he beat Sampras, Agassi, Courier on the Senior tour (who he never beat on the regular tour)..He won London seniors a couple of times..He is AMAZING NOW
