    Hi,

I happen to like how Lotto Raptor IVs fit. They fit rather narrow (not too much) but long, just like a typical italian shoe. However the outsole on the heel is pretty thin and I tend to put an hole in that part before I wear the rest of the shoe.

On the other you have for example shoes like the Babolat Propulse 4 or Adidas Barricades 8.0 which I find to fit large but short. Which means that while the Raptors in 11.5 fit perfect in length and width, P4s and B8s are too short in 11 and a bit just in 11.5, and too wide in 11.5. For some reason Nike's Air Max Cages in 11 fit pretty good too, between Raptors and B8s.

So I'm searching for a shoe that's rather narrow but long. Like the Raptors.

    Thanks in advance.

Of all the shoes you named, you're missing a great one, and it also may be exactly what you're looking for! Check out the Asics Gel Resolution 5. They will fit pretty similar to the Raptor, but offer a bit more durability and a higher ride off the ground. They are great shoes and one of my personal favorites. Give them a try!

    Thanks for the answer.

Well I did try the Resolution. In terms of lenght it fits great, but I find them wider in the toe box than the Raptors, and my orthopaedic insoles are not wide enough at the moment being to fit the space. Maybe next time I'll get a pair I'll request them to be even larger, but it's not for now.

EDIT: For some reason the Yonex Power
Cushion 254D fitted pretty good but I'm not keen of the rather weak ventilation of Yonex shoes despite the excellent vibration absorption so I passed.

The Raptors (current model plus two previous generations) are also the best fit for me and so far, no other shoe fits better. IMO, the Resolution 5 doesn't fit quite as well.

Your experience with the Propulse 4 sounds familiar - I used the Propulse 2 in the past and it was a great fit. The toe space was tight but manageable. Unfortunately, it had insufficient forefoot cushioning (there isn't even a midsole there) and that doesn't appear to have changed with the Propulse 4.

Give the Yonex Power Cushion 308 a try then. They don't fit every foot perfectly, but for the ones they do, they are one of the best shoes on the market. If your foot fit the 254D well, the 308 would most likely fit the same.

Thanks for the answers both of you. Seems Yonex is releasing the SHT-309 next year. If the ventilation is better than the current 308 I'll check these out; if not I'll pull the trigger for a pair of 308 (unless the 309 look and perform better of course). I'm kinda disappointed to be forced to quit the Raptors for such a reason: they really seemed to be able to become my new shoe of choice. Really nice shoes, I fully understand the nice review you playtesters gave them. I wanted to ask for Li-Ning's Pro Competition, but I doubt my knees will be able to take the announced minimal forefoot cushioning since it already was a slight issue with the Air Max Cages after few months of use.

I'll also try to find a podiatrist that won't butcher my insoles next time...

    Anyway, thanks again!
