The Man of Steel looks a little like Wolverine in this rendering. Maybe it's Man of Steel Fingernails?

Yeah I am too, can't wait. Still wish they continued with Brandon Routh and just taken it in a darker direction with him though.

Yeah, I loved Superman Returns. I know people were mad as it wasn't like Batman Begins, but I thought it was well done!

Darker? A sullen, brooding Superman? Superman is a superhero from another planet. Why do we desire to assign him more human faults? Just create a new "superhero".

This generation's move towards the noir and ambiguity in movies is so played... :-?

Warner Brothers has said they are so happy with Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel, that the sequel to Man Of Steel is already being written and scripted.

    Henry Cavill (Superman/Clark):

Dark, brooding superheroes, vampires that fall in love and walk in the daylight, and werewolves that are both hero and monster...Seems we have to humanize the monsters and villainize the heroes....

What would Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney Jr. think?

I read Bryan Singer's story for the Superman Returns sequel. Brainiac sees 'New Krypton' orbiting Earth (the island Superman put into space at the end of Superman Returns) and he comes to Earth to study it.

Brainiac learns about Superman and decides to take him down with thousands of Brainiac-controlled foot soldiers. Superman kills every soldier.

Then Brainiac takes over the body of Jason (this is a lot more powerful than a foot soldier, because it has Kryptonian powers). Superman must kill Jason to save Earth. Superman tries everything other than killing Jason, and nothing works. Superman kills his son, Jason.

I must say, I like it.

Me too, I don't see people's problem with it at all. There wasn't enough "action" for people but for a movie that was to be STARTING a new series it was perfect for me.

Omg that sounds SO GREAT. Now im even more mad they didn't continue with Routh and make a sequel :(

I remember Singer bragging about the sequel for a long time. He said "I'm going to go all WRATH OF KHAN in the sequel". He was not wrong. People wondered why he gave Superman a son. He gave Superman a son so he could kill him :D

Singer is a great director. He did great on the X-men movies, and did a great job on the Superman Returns movie.

People wanted a BA superman so bad after Batman, but they don't realize that Superman isn't necessarily a stealthy, dark character like Batman. In fact, Batman stands by similar morals to Superman, at least in the films. Just because Metropolis wasn't as dark as Gotham City and didn't have the martial arts action sequences, people were pissed. They weren't realistic and realized that's not what Superman deals with.

Also, I like the gruff look they chose for Superman this time. Much like Jackman's wolverine. Nolan has got his stuff together, as usual. Plus, I like how he also has a resemblance to Tom Welling from Smallville

It's for the best I think. Spiderman 3 sucked majorly. So much potential wasted.

Andrew Garfield impressed me in the Social Network (In fact, he reminded me of JMDP, in an odd way, but that's an aside). I love how the trailer shows that they'll talk about his backstory more. I think that's super important in any superhero movie. And, I love Emma Stone too, though I must admit, i've never been a big comic book person, and I mostly learned about these heroes through animated series on TV as a kid. Spiderman was probably the most watched, and I remember many bouts with Doc Connors, so i'm excited to see him as the villain. Plus, the action sequences and leaping through the city look so sick!
