That is awesome! What a view too, to be overlooking those mountain tops, a golf course, etc...

Probably a bit out of my price range at the moment, though.

From the first few pics, I agree with this assessment as well.

    Looks great, looks fantastic.

I was expecting a tacky Tony Montana druglord narco-mansion but it is actually very stylish and much more interesting than Sampras' home. A bit too stylish for Rios though.

He could have save a bundle if he had used containers instead of concrete.

OP, thanks for sharing. Huge architectural buff...

That is sick. Now WHEN I win the Powerball lottery this Wednesday I'll just say 'copy this'. :)

(and I will have a tennis court - maybe two)

Interesting. Some shots look cold at first ( or like a never released Pink Floyd album cover) but this kind of cutting edge residential architechture is all about how the structure interacts with the setting and this home probably does well at it. The design of this particular home is not my style - I admire more the sensibilities of a Jeremiah Eck, for example - but what "bothered" me about this home was the "playroom". If you commission a design like this, you don't furnish it like you would the rumpus room in George and Molly Applepie's vinyl sided cape cod. This is an aesthetic abomination.

Rios doesn't need a tennis court he might need a boxing ring, he actually trains and practices boxing more than tennis now.

It looks like the home of a guy who fired his coach (Stefanki) a week after becoming number one in the rankings -- sterile and devoid of soul.

Why Gonzalito, if I didn't know better I'd say that's yet another sales plug you've pitched on behalf of Rios' book.

Weren't you the one who started the (Spam-ish) thread about the book being available in bookstores? .... and then followed that up later by announcing that it was now ON SALE? .... and then followed that up later by announcing to "bargain hunters" that it was available on Kindle for $6.99?????

    I mean, really man ........ lol ;-)

was that me? hard to remember ) could have been

Hey it's a pretty good book. Even Rios himself enjoyed it.

Marcelo: "I read the book. There were some things that people said that weren't true but it was pretty good. It was pretty good."

Alicia Rios (mother): "Thank you very much for writing a book about my son."

Jorge Rios (father): "I like the book. You did it in a very interesting, unique way. I liked how many of the players showed respect for my son. You put a lot of hard work into this book."
