Hamburg is the slowest of clay court tournaments in europe.. The only hope for Roddick to win was in Rome and he blew it...

Man that's disgusting. Federer beat Verdasco easily. Looks like Roddick wont fair well at Le French, but who didnt know that?

I was really looking forward to a Gasquet vs Roddick match. It would have been a lot of fun :)
Would have made Gasquet the favourite, though.

Massu is a good claycourter, I've seen him play Davis Cup for Chile, it is not surprising he beat Roddick. Shall this victory encourage him, he is coming back from an injury.

Massu played very well, and so did Roddick considering it was a clay court.

Now Henman beat Massu convincingly last week, looks impressive now huh? ;)

Actually everything equal, Hamburg courts are faster than Rome. It is cold and wet in Hamburg, which makes it slow. it was sunny and warm in Rome last week which made it fast.
