I've been watching the tournament since the beginning, and both Federer and Roddick have been quite impressive. Although some might think that last years match between the two might stay the same, it's a whole new game. Anyway, I think that Federer will win in 4 sets.

    Federer in 4

Roddick will have to win the breaker though

Federer in difficult 3. It will go to tiebreaks if Roddick is serving well but Roddick won't EVER break Federer.

First set will show Federer start stretching/warming up...dropping first set in tiebreak to Roddick by 5-7! Then putting in first gear with 6-4, second gear with 6-3,
then ending the match on his third gear 6-2......driving safely under the speedlimit  !!

But I hope it will be a closer match than that!

yup, i agree with yall in federer winnin in 4, roddick usually starts out well, or starts out bad.....but i believe the first set will be roddick taking it in the tiebreaker, or federer takin it 6-4

I'll go on a limb and be the first to predict a Roddick win.

Fed in 3 or 4. Roddick has a horrible return and won't make any impression on Feds service games.

Fed in a quick 3. It will be interesting to see if Roddick pulls anyomore of his little "stunts" in the final.

Federer in 3. Ro-dick's stumbles in the Ancic match simply won't hold up against The Federer.

roddicks serve didn't show up that match, if it shows up in the final federer will need to have some maricals. 60 service winners in the quarter, its near impossible to lose with that kind of serve. He won't have that many against federer, but if he on, he'll have more than enough.

Well i picked the Sharapova upset yesterday, so I'll be the 2nd to say Roddick will win in 5 grueling sets....

Here's hoping for a great final, not only to develop the rivalary (which roddick needs to win for their to be one) but if Andy can't beat Federer at wimbledon than no one will be able to. We could see Federer rattle off several wins in a row on the grass like Borg and Sampras did of their time when they had no real competition on the lawns.

Only way for Andy to win is to have an extremely good serving day and hope Roger is playing sub-par. Andy will probably eek out the breakers.

Perfmode: Yes, I was talking about the tiebreak points 5-7, but left out the set score 6-7!

By any chance, does anyone know what the bookkeeper's odds are on this match?

My father picked Federer based on the calculations in his article (http://www.tennisserver.com - Between the Lines article) so I had to pick Roddick.

Ladbrokes has the odds at 2/7 for Fed 5/2 for Roddick. I can't think of a #2 seed that was that much of an underdog(maybe Chris when she played Martina in those 80s finals)

NLBwell, I've been reading your father's articles for years, great stuff.
